Madelin's POV

I had been waiting and waiting for Wednesday to come, it was finally the day. Leah had said she was picking me up, i felt horrible having to lie to Eleonor. I had said i was going out with the girls but in reality i was only going out with one of them. The one she least wanted me to go out with.

Leah pulled up to the front of my house in her car, i instantly recognized it. I walked out of my house and went over to the passenger seat.

"Hey." i smiled as i got in the car looking over at leah. She was wearing a casual outfit, just like how i was.

"Hey, you look good." leah complimented me, i could feel my face getting warmer as i noticed she was looking at me. I was going to have to get used to her staring at me now that we were going on a literal date. "Don't go shy on me now texas." leah smiled as she started driving to the bowling alley.

"Is bowling a big thing here? Like is it something a lot of people do on their free time?" i asked looking over at leah.

"Well i've gone bowling with...some of the arsenal girls. But i think it's decently popular..why do you ask?" leah said.

"I just don't want to run into any fans of yours, or any of the teammates." i shook my head shifting my eyes onto the road.

"I don't think we will." leah shook her head.

After a 20 minute ride leah pulled into the bowling alley, we both got off and walked to the entrance. Leah opened the door and let me go in first.

"Such a gentleman." i smiled as i walked in first.

"Always." leah responded.

As soon as i walked into the bowling alley i took a look around. It wasn't empty but it wasn't full of people either. Leah took care of the payment and everything, even the names and point up on the screen.

"Okay, do you know how to bowl?" leah took a bowling ball into her hand and asked me.

I scoffed. "Yes leah, we have bowling in texas." i nodded.

"Just making sure...be prepared to lose." leah mumbled that last part before walking over and rolling the bowling ball towards the pins. The ball rolled over to the side, not knocking down any pins. I tried not to laugh by covering my mouth. Leah turned around and looked at me, i turned the opposite way biting down on my lip to keep the laugh from coming out.

"Are you laughing at me?" leah came up from behind me and lightly turned me around to face her. I still had my hand over my mouth but i shook my head saying 'no'.

"No, i'm not leah.." i walked over and got a bowling ball for myself. I walked over and rolled my bowling ball towards the pins. It made it all the way to the end knocking down 9 of the pins. I turned to leah and bowed. "Where's the 'best bowler' leah williamson?" i asked, looking around.

"Don't get cocky." leah rolled her eyes walking over to the bowling balls getting another one, she positioned herself in the middle squinting her eyes at the pins. Leah then rolled her ball, the ball hit the back and knocked down all the pins. Leah turned around and raised her eyebrows at me.
