Chapter 15 - Christmas & Gifts

Madeline's POV

I woke up to the sun shining through the blinds of our room. Leah was been sleeping next to me, she kept her space on the bed. The bed was petty huge even though it was only two of us sleeping on it. 

I looked over at leah, she was still sleeping. Her face seemed so relaxed. Usually she had this grumpy look on her face, unless she was talking to one of the arsenal girls or smiling of course. She looked so peaceful.

"Leah.." i whispered lightly. Leah slowly opened her eyes and blinked at me. "Good morning..." i whispered smiling at leah.

"What time is it.." leah said, her voice sounded so raspy.

"Uh let me check.." i sat up and grabbed my phone. "It's 11.." i said after checking the time.

Leah groaned and stretched her arms out.

"Is anyone else awake?" leah asked.

"I'm not sure..i think i hear someone downstairs." i said pushing my hair back with my hand. "Come on get up...it's christmas..." i poked at leah's stomach. Leah grabbed my wrist and pulled me down back on the bed. I laughed as i felt her hand start to tickle my side. "No leah-" i tried pushing her hand away. "I hate being tickled.." i couldn't stop laughing until she stopped. 

"Give me a kiss then.." leah demanded.

"You could've just said that..." i smiled and leaned in pressing my lips against leah's, i made a little kissy noise when i pulled away. I smiled and got out of bed, leah was following behind me. I opened the door, i saw something fly as i swung the door open. It was two stockings.

"Mum managed to do it this year as well.." leah smiled and handed me one of the stockings.

"She does this every year?" i asked closing the door and walking back over to the bed. Leah nodded as she down on the bed as well. "That's very thoughtful of her.." i smiled emptying the stocking. 

"What are these?.." i pointed to a bag that seemed to have some sort of candy in it.

"Percy Pigs..you don't have those in America?" leah asked.

"Well i don't know if we do or don't but..if we do they must not be popular.." i smiled as i opened the bag. I took one of the candies and put it into my mouth, they were squishy and chewy, like gummies. "Hmm..they're good." i nodded and continued chewing it. 

"You should try these.." leah held up a bag of another candy with the name 'Wine Gums' in the front of the bag. "They don't actually contain like wine..but they're one of my favorite." leah handed me the bag. I took it and opened it putting one of the small candies inside of my mouth.

"Hmm...very fruity.." i smiled and nodded. "Can't believe i never tried any 'british candy' before." i said.

"Yeah, mum must've brought them from home." leah nodded.

I looked through the rest of the stuff in the stocking, there were stuff like socks, gift cards, bracelets, candy canes and a few small bath bombs. 

"Your mom's the sweetest, my mom has never done this for me and my brothers.." i smiled at leah. 

"Well, she must like you then.." leah smiled. "She only does this for people she likes."
