As Poppy lay there, she just thought of what just happened to her. The thought of sleep pulled away from her. It had happened already but this one felt worse. Her sheets were stained and tainted. She felt like she was dying.

She wanted Branch. She needed Branch. She needed him to comfort her, to hold her, and to talk to her. Her chest felt tight and her heart felt heavy. She breathed in and out slowly, trying to calm herself down, but it wasn't working. She needed him. She needed him to make her feel safe and happy again.

Her mind started to fill with questions she couldn't answer.

Was Branch looking for her? Was he worried? Was HE okay?

Tears pricked the back of her eyes when she realized that Branch wasn't going to look for her. She had told him she was going to girls' night, so why would he go looking for her?

She started sobbing into her pillow. She thought about where she was and how she would never escape by herself.

Suddenly a wave of anger took over her. She thrashed at the bedding, the pillow, everything that was tainted with the lust of Creek. She couldn't bare the thought of sleeping there again. She threw the pillows, the blankets, and bedding off of the bed. She'd rather sleep cold than get reminded of how much she had gone through. She fell to the ground crying more, angry crying.

She took a deep breath, and quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. She got up from where she fell and walked over to the desk. She grabbed a large chocolate bar out of the basket, and tore into it, shoving the gooiness down her throat in almost two bites. It took her mind off of everything for 2 seconds, but it only made her feel worse.

Poppy looked down at her stomach, cringing as her intestines twisted around. She wanted to be sick. She wanted to vomit up everything, including the memories. She wanted to be free from the pain, the hurt, the betrayal. But she couldn't. She was stuck with it, just like she was stuck with Creek.
