Meredith was staying at home with the kids while Derek was out grocery shopping with Madeleine.

Michael was outside riding his bike while Violet and Lillian played with their dolls in the grass.

Meredith sat outside in one of the lawn chairs and watched the girls.

"Girls, play nice," she said as Lillian started to get overworked.

Lillian tended to have a bit of a temper, she got upset easily over little things but thankfully she was also quick to calm down. Sometimes it took longer than usual but she was learning to control it.

Violet on the other hand was the complete opposite. She was always very calm, she didn't get upset easily as she once did. Having a little sister taught her it wasn't all about her anymore.

It had been a couple of months since Meredith and Derek had started trying for another baby.

Only A week ago Lillian had turned three years old and that night she had taken a pregnancy test and it turned out to be positive.

She hadn't told Derek yet since she wanted to wait until she was further along to avoid a miscarriage.

She had seen an OB a couple of days ago and had an ultrasound and got a sonogram for when she did tell Derek.

"Mommy, somebody here," Lillian said as an unfamiliar car pulled in.

"Somebody's here, with an S," Violet corrected earning an eye roll from Lillian.

A woman stepped out of the car and walked the the front door and knocked.

"She can't see us?" Lillian asked. "Mommy, who is that?" Violet asked.

"A lady at work," she said as she stood up and walked up to her.

"Dr. Montgomery, how can I help you?" She asked as nicely as she could. "Yes, where is Derek, I'd like to speak with him," she said.

"Derek isn't here, he and Madeleine are out grocery shopping," she said.

"So I see you're making him and your daughter do all the work," she said.

"I- sure," she said taking a look back at the kids. "Is that Violet?" She asked and started walking over to the kids.

"I don't know, I thought they were yours," she smiled at her.

"And that's Lillian.. she's beautiful, you know I always wanted a blonde," she said watching Lillian play.

"Too bad you had three brunettes then, huh?" She said.

"I suppose," she said. "Hi, I'm Violet," she put out her hand for Addison to shake.

"I'm.. Addison?" She said shaking her hand.

"You lied to them?" She asked. "Violet was three when you left, she doesn't remember you," Meredith said as Violet went back to her spot with Lillian.

"I'm not even sure Michael remembers you, but he might, he was seven when you left,"

"Oh, yes. There was a boy..." she trailed off. "Do you and Derek plan on having more?" She asked.

"I don't know, maybe one day," she said. Addison was the last person she was going to tell about the plan to have more children.

"Oh, that should be them," she said as Derek's car pulled into the driveway.

"Addison, I don't think you should go up to them. Madeleine doesn't need this," she said.

"It's been three years she'll be fine," she said. "It's been four years," she said.

"Even better, Madeleine is a big girl," she said as she walked up to Derek's car and he got out of the driver's seat.

Michael then came around the corner on his bike. He stopped in place when he saw Addison. It seemed like he recognized her but he didn't know where from.

"Addison, what the hell are you doing here?" He asked already angry.

"I came here to talk to you about something," she said.

"I haven't seen you in four years, I don't even know why you bothered to come back. The kids are here, you couldn't decide to pull this bullshit anywhere else but here!" He yelled.

"Violet, Lillian, why don't you two go in the house and find something to eat," she said. They both got up and they went inside.

"Michael, you and Madeleine should go inside too," she said. Michael threw his bike down and ran inside the house.

Madeleine slammed the car door shut and followed behind.

"You're not coming back into their lives, not after the damage you've already done!" He yelled.

Meredith went into the house and found Violet and Lillian in the kitchen.

"Did you find something or do you want me to make you something to eat?" She asked.

"No, we're fine," Violet said. "Alright, good," she said. "Mommy, who was that lady?" She asked as they sat down at the table.

"Oh, well... Violet, you remember when you were very little you're real mommy left.. you might not remember as well as Michael and Maddy. But that is was your real mommy," she said.

"So you're not my real mommy?" She asked. "I am because I took care of you. I do everything a mom should, but I'm not your mom in the same way I am to Lillian. You remember when I was pregnant, my stomach got all big and then it went away and we had a baby?" She said.

"Yeah," Violet said. "I didn't do that with you. But you don't have my blood like Lillian does, you have the same Daddy but not the same mom. But that doesn't mean I'm not your mom," she said.

"Why is she here now?" She asked. "I don't know but I don't think she'll come back after your dad's done yelling at her," she said.

"Daddy does yell very loud," she nodded. "Yes, yes he does," she sighed standing up before going upstairs to check on Madeleine and Michael.
