Agony of a Witch

today we open not on The Owl House but on the castle of emperor Belos, it is surrounded by guard post's and the central keep houses a spire which constantly bellows forth fire and smoke.

we see a large cage of many unfortunate wild witches being carted off to the main keep to receive an unknown fate.

Lilith was standing in the ramparts looking at the large cage before heading back into the castle.

we see the interior of the castle, ornate in it's design almost certainly to display power and eminence and other things of that nature, especially the stained glass mural.

Lilith: i haven't forgotten what you promised me, i will bring you my sister emperor Belos.

Kikimora: then why the delay?

Lilith: Kikimora.

Kikimora: the day of unity is fast approaching and other teams have bound many rogue witches, and yet the Owl Lady still roams free alongside her child and significant other, are you protecting them.

Lilith: rest assured Kiki, i have everything under control.

Lilith snaps her fingers and a whole squad of coven scouts appear ready for her orders.

Lilith: today we capture Eda, once and for all.

regardless of what happens, today will be a long day for everybody involved.

we cut to The Owl House where Hooty is asleep and Lilith is hiding in the bushes ready to attack.

Lilith: good, that infernal house demon is asleep.

Lilith then motions the coven scouts to encircle the house.

but Hooty then immediately wakes up, goes over to Lilith and then launches her into a tree.

Hooty then makes short work of the coven scouts as if they were toys and not any actual threat.

Lilith tries to attack Hooty but hit's a tree instead and then said tree falls near her, Lilith then just lies on her back in frustration and exhaustion.

y/n and Eda were just watching the whole thing with binoculars.

Eda: oh Hooty your a thorn in my side, but you always dig your way into my heart.

y/n: he can be nuisance, but he has his moments.

Luz was interested in what Eda was making in the cauldron, which she mistook for spaghetti.

Luz: ooh magic sketti.

Eda stops Luz from touching the stuff.

Eda: that sketti is called witches wool, it repels powerful spells every witch worth their salt has a cloak made of this stuff.

Luz: i'm worth salt, i want cloak!

Eda: easy kid, with the emperor's goons at my doorstep i need this for protection, they have really stepped up their attacks lately.

y/n: Lilith is certainly desperate as i can imagine Belos doesn't appreciate failure especially repeated failure.

Eda: yea that's certainly a factor.

Luz: i think i finally understand why the emperor wants you so badly, he's got the hot's for you doesn't he.

Eda just points fingerguns at Luz with a smile.

y/n: he better not if he doesn't want to end up in the obituaries.

Eda: the real reason is that emperor Belos wants to control all wild magic with his coven system, he ordered my capture years ago because i refused to fall in line.
