we open on two people running in boiling rain into a building revealing a younger Eda and y/n as they walk around they notice something and get into fighting stance the thing gets closer and Eda gasps.

timeskip.

Luz is writing on a piece of paper with her journal open trying to find a new glyph combination.

King: Luz i need your help i think François is plotting a rebellion.

Luz looks to see all the stuffed animals King has stacked on one another with Francois in the middle then a knife falls from behind his back.

Luz: in a minute King i am so close to figuring out this glyph combo.

King: it's always glyphs and portals with you these days, what about King?

Luz: why don't you ask Lilith she was in the emperors coven she has more experience with unruly mobs than anyone.

they look and see Lilith's face which is concerningly close to the piece of paper which she drawing on with red ink.

Lilith: watching the ink dry is the best part.

King was a little creeped out by that.

Hooty then brings Lilith cup of tea.

Hooty: a cup of tea for my favorite cup of tea.

Lilith: oh Hootsifer you are a gem.

King: what's going on is Hooty blackmailing her?

Luz: oh i think their actually friends isn't that nice?

Luz put the finishing touches on her glyph and stood up.

Luz: alright this should do the trick now you see me.

Luz slaps the glyph on herself and disappears drawing everyone's eyes in the room then suddenly reappears.

Luz: and now you don't, oh i guess it lasts as long as i hold my breath still pretty cool huh?

King just runs up and hugs her leg.

King: don't ever do that again.

Lilith: do that again how did you accomplish it?

Luz: well since you guys discovered you can make new spells by combining glyphs i've been experimenting, i got the invisibility idea from your history books Lilith.

Lilith gets up but trips on the stuffed animals.

King: an ambush, men defend your ruler!

King throws a stuffed animal at Lilith but Hooty gets in the way and plays dead afterwards.

King: the King of demons yields to no one!

Lilith: historically demons have never been united under a single ruler until Belos there's no such thing as a King of demons.

King throws another stuffed animal at Lilith.

King: blasphemy! clearly you know nothing of my reign of terror allow me to tell you.

King: i was once the mighty King of demons i was feared as much i was beloved but then then an evil spell was cast leaving me as this.

Hooty: oh what happened to your crown of power?

King: a trifle that was merely to test Eda and Luz's loyalty to me they passed, my real crown is still out there but when i shrank my memories got a little fuzzy.

Lilith: how convenient a hole in your memory for every whole in your story.

King: hey i remember plenty, i remember armies bowing down before me, being served the greatest of feasts and falling from a great height as that evil hex shrank me, one day i shall return to my rightful place and all shall fear me!
