Belos attaches a tube to the door and motions a abomaton to turn a wheel causing a substance to flow through various tubes giving the door power but when he tries to use the key in the handle the key disintegrates and the door is without power immediately after.

during all this Hunter was eavesdropping trying to keep the cardinal palisman Flapjack hidden.

Belos: would you like to see how it works, Hunter?

Hunter stuffs Flapjack somewhere in his outfit to hide him.

Hunter: i didn't mean to hide emperor Belos.

Belos: we've found every piece of the door but without the power of the real key it refuses to open.

Gus: oh Eda was rummaging through the basement and gave us these.

Amity: wait Eda's still here?

they both walk to the living room where Eda was attempting and failing at turning into her harpy form by screaming.
