Another Ambush

it was another day in the Owl House and y/n woke up in his and Eda's bed, he got up early seeing as his wife was still asleep and decided to make breakfast in bed for her but when he got down to the kitchen and looked in the fridge and cupboards.

y/n: damn out of food or at least the stuff i need.

he then wrote a note and left it on the fridge saying he'll be out shopping.

y/n: i hope Gwendolyn doesn't come and cause trouble while i'm gone cause that is the last thing i need.

y/n then left the house and headed for Bonesborough.

as he was walking he kept looking around just in case anyone got stupid enough to try to cash in on the bounty on his head or the coven guards try and detain him, then he saw one of his wanted posters.

y/n: " y/n Clawthorne wanted for murder of coven personnel and attempted murder on emperor Belos reward: half of the treasury and two relics of choice from the relic room " man i must scared Belos something fierce for him to make this.

this poster seemed to be a new one as it has some new writing.

y/n: " dead or alive " so he's not playing around huh.

y/n briefly started thinking on possible futures.

y/n: if this stuff starts escalating i may have take drastic measures, only time will tell.

he then continued walking to the store noticing that most people tried to avoid him and some of the coven guards even seemed to ignore him.

even with the bounty most were just too scared of him to try and collect it.

he walked into the same store the last time he went out to buy food and the same guy was there at the counter and as soon as he saw y/n he looked like he would keel over dead right there.

but y/n did what he wanted to do there in the first place get food and he didn't seem all that bothered by the guy who tried to turn him over to the coven the last time he was here.

y/n had gotten what he wanted and brought the food over to the counter and slammed down the snails to pay for it.

the guy considered trying to alert the emperor's coven but remembered the last time and thought better of it and took the money.

y/n: smart choice.

y/n bagged up the food and walked out of there and started walking back to the Owl House all the while someone was following him.

y/n also kept walking around Bonesborough getting other stuff the family needed as well as some stuff he needed like metal for his workshop.

noticing someone was following him y/n decided to take the scenic route through the forest.

as y/n walked he listened and watched for movements trying to deduce who it could be following him and at the moment he stopped walking someone threw something.

catching the thrown object with ease he looked at what is was and saw a throwing knife dipped in poison.

and at that moment three assailants in the same uniform as last time jump down and immediately attack all at once.

y/n: i don't have time for this!

y/n dodges one assailants attack and shoots him in the head with ivory another charges at him and y/n decapitates him with his Khyber, the final assailant keeps at a distance firing a semi auto rifle y/n picks up one of the bodies and throws it at the final assailant pinning him and y/n walks up and stomps on his neck breaking it.

and with those assailants dealt with he picks up the groceries and other purchases and walks off to the Owl House.

when y/n walked far enough another person in the assailants uniform jumps down.

the person in the uniform seems much older then his now dead comrades and looks down at their bodies and sighs in frustration.

assailant: this is what happens when you send rookies on these types of missions, they get too eager and think they can take down the most successful subject to come out of project Ultima and what's worse they ignore their team leaders like me ugh.

assailant leader: Dr. Ryker is not going to like it when he hears about this, oh well this is aa good a time as any to test the new communicator.

but just before he could.

Golden Guard: i think that would be a very bad idea.

the assailant leader draws his weapons ready to fight.

Golden Guard: whoa there pal i'm not here to fight just put your weapons down.

assailant leader: why should i?

Golden Guard: because we have a common enemy, y/n Clawthorne the guy who killed your men i think your organization and mine could benefit greatly from a partnership.

assailant leader: i'm listening.

Golden Guard: i'm not the person you should be talking to about this you should speak to emperor Belos.

assailant leader: then take me to this emperor of yours.

Golden Guard: follow me.

with y/n.

y/n has finally gotten to the Owl House and sees Gwendolyn with the rest of the family.

y/n: why did it have to be when i was gone.

y/n walked up to her but before she could say anything.

Eda: hon before you say anything my mom stopped with the cure nonsense.

y/n: she finally got the hint?

Eda: yep.

y/n: did she come to this on her own or did something happen.

Eda: well she may have stolen all the elixir's and drew out the Owl Beast trying to cure me.

after hearing that y/n looked like he hadn't slept for a year just walked into the house without a word put the bag on the kitchen table and walked up to the bed and just fell down and fell asleep immediately.

with Golden Guard.

the Golden Guard had brought the assailant leader Belos's throne room.

Belos: if i heard correctly from my Golden Guard you are mr.Clawthorne's enemy?

assailant leader: if your referring to subject 1 then yes i was sent to retrieve him alive if possible.

Belos: and who is it that sent you here?

assailant leader: that would be Dr. Ryker.

Belos: do you have any means of communications with Dr. Ryker i wish to speak with him.

assailant leader: i have a extra-dimensional communicator on me you can use it to speak with Dr. Ryker.

Belos: you have my thanks mr?

assailant leader: Irons you can call me Irons.

Belos: thank you mr.Irons this will almost certainly be a very beneficial partnership.
