we open on another day in the human realm on the Clawthorne residence it's about midday and Eda has come down to the living room where also the rest of the kids are as she had brought them all here for something.

Eda: you might be wondering why we are here and well with everything that's been going on i figured we relax with a little camping trip and don't worry Luz i asked your mother she said it's fine.

Eda: it won't be too far from here, so just get your things ready and head outside we'll fly there.

and so everyone went off to get stuff for the trip.

y/n was a bit apprehensive about this judging by the look on his face but he knew Eda was doing this mostly for him so he kept quiet and did as everyone else did gather things for the camping trip.

Eda was just about to do the same until Luz tapped her shoulder.

Luz: your doing this to try and get him to relax aren't you?

Eda: that easy to see huh? yeah i am but he need this he's not been himself ever since we got here, he's gone from our bed and missing sleep, to top it off he's been acting paranoid we all hear him shoot things down everyday.

Luz: if you know something's wrong with him why don't you try and get him to open up.

Eda: i want him to i really do but i don't want to force him he should open up on his own terms.

Luz thought about telling Eda what y/n had told her about how Ryker is hunting him but figured that it's y/n's job to tell his wife these things not her and joined Eda in gathering stuff for the trip.

as soon as everyone went outside they got on staves and flew to the spot Eda had picked out it was a nice little clearing with a good view of the open sky.

Eda: alright this is where we set up kids get the firewood while the rest of us set up the tents.

and with that everybody started the camping trip not knowing what will happen this day.

with Luz.

Luz and the rest of the kids are getting firewood picking up as much sticks and small branches as they can find along with some dry leaves as well, Luz as she was doing this kept thinking about how she feels responsible for all this because she helped Belos unknowingly and all her friends home is in danger and they may never get back and starts thinking they may have been better off never meeting her, but she is quickly brought out of those thoughts into new ones.

y/n for the longest time was a mystery to her ever since she arrived in the boiling isles and was kind of paradoxical especially to her fantasy nerd self, a human man in a fantasy world full of fantasy races dressed in a modern suit and an immaculate one at that where most witches and demons wear medieval adjacent robes and only a few wealthy ones may have modern or Victorian outfits, wielding guns and explosives where magic is real and you can fling fireballs with your fingers and yet seems calmer and more comfortable in the demon realm then the human realm because he's being hunted down by a mad scientist or something.

but the thing that get's her most is why he doesn't tell Eda she'd be more than willing to help, maybe she'll be able to coax it out of him after the trip.

and that was when Jack appeared behind her.

Jack: how's yours coming along.

Luz: i'm done actually.

Jack: good faster we get this done the more time time we can spend relaxing, it was awesome of mom to do this.

Luz: yea it is even though it's mostly to get y/n to relax and calm his nerves.
