The Clues Are Back

Finally, the blood work and dirt sample is due back today. Time seems to go by so slow as they patiently wait for the results, so they could make up their minds what to do next.

Why dont we bring the Alphas from the four packs we suspect here to the Grey Moon Pack? They cant hide her if they are here.

That is a good idea. It could give us more time to see what their reactions are when we talk to them. It is a good thing we brought you Chris, you come up with good ideas. Max is starting to understand Chris, his judgment of him is changing.

Getting them here has to be done without mentioning the search for the princess. Alpha Ralph adds.

I can send the guards out to the Red Moon Pack, Silver Moon Pack, River Moon Pack, and The Blood Moon Pack, to bring their Alphas back here. Micah informs Max. Send out guards to each of these packs. Tell them they are being summoned by the royal household, to honor their help from our last search. That way they cannot refuse and must return with the guards.

Is four men for each pack enough men they might get away.

We want them to think it is to honor them not take them prisoner. Chris reassures Jenna.

Do not give them time to get all cleaned up before they leave. I want to smell their scent, see if we can find one of them that matches the scent on the shirt in the bag.

Ill send them right now Chris and give them your instructions. Micah quick mind links Max who just left with the rest of the instructions.

We might even get lucky and smell the princesss smell. He then turns to Micah with another suggestion. If we could get a blood sample from each of them, we might be able to match it with the sample we got from the blood on the patch with the symbol.

Thats genius, Chris. How do you plan on getting that? Alpha Ralph asks.

That I am not sure of. All I know is that we have one day to figure it out.

Im not sure were going to figure that out. You are asking a lot from these Alphas. They are not stupid men. Micah complains.

This has to work. Its the only option we have to figure out what's what. We don't want to just keep attacking all these Alphas and not have any proof they are involved.

Chris is now pacing the room thinking of a way to get this done. Could we make up a lie and tell them we needed to have the Alphas blood added to a cup so that we can make a shield to protect their pack lands. Tell them that this will keep the royal guards off their pack grounds, while they searched for the princess.

Alpha Ralph agrees. That is smart. We tell them we know they dont have her, that we do not want to intrude on their land.

Yes, if they think it's going to keep us from going on their pack land, they will probably do it. Micah is finally getting some hope this might work.

We have to make sure each one will get their own cup, to put a sample of blood in. Its the only way to be sure we can test it with the sample we have from the symbol that came back today.

None of this makes sense to me. How is the blood going to help? Jeanna has been listening and is very confused.

Each pack has their Alphas make up in a sense. Members, when they take the oath to be loyal, mix their blood with his, they take in his blood. We are going to see if any of the Alphas blood matches the sample. I have a Chemical that will turn the blood a different color if it matches.

This is all complicated, and I am glad you know what you are doing. Jenna rubs her temple as she still didnt fully understand Chris.

Then we can also ask them if anybody can recognize that symbol. Let's see if we can make anybody squirm.

Micah smiles sitting listening to Chris explain things to Jenna. No wonder they say he is the best tracker in the whole country.

Chris looks back at Micah with a smile, If you are going to do something always be the best.

I don't think we would have found the Princess without your help, Chris. Jenna joins in and hugs his neck.

We don't have her yet, don't jinx us. Chris says as he gives her a small hug back.

I need to get this place ready for our honored guests. Alpha Ralph says as he starts giving orders to his staff. The pack house is busy, busy, busy, setting up for all four of the Alphas that are coming. Their rooms are being prepared, the food has to be cooked to perfection, and set out on the tables with wines, flowers, and candles.

We need them to feel they could stay here. Give them the feeling they are being honored. Chris says to Alpha Ralph.

Now its show time. Micah says. The guards have all phoned in that they have the Alphas following them and are on the way back right now.

Time is still going slow, but all the Alphas are walking into our trap. They start to pull up one at a time until all four Alphas have come. They have been invited for dinner and to spend a couple of days.

Welcome to my pack, I am Alpha Ralph, and this is Micah, our future prince. Each step up and shake hands then are led to the table.

Alpha Ralph starts the meeting, Gentlemen, this meeting is to help us find the Princess, but it is also to help protect you. I will let Micah explain things to you.

Let me start off saying thank you for your help. As you know I am Micah, I am leading the search for the princess. We have searched your lands prior to this and deemed that there is no chance the Princess is there.

Im Alpha Harland. Im here to wage a complaint. What those guards did to us last time was unacceptable. They showed us no respect and left my pack in a mess.

I was not with the last search for the princess and apologize for what they did. If you incurred and financial lose put it in writing, and I will see you are reimbursed.

Thank you for that. I just wanted someone to speak to and discipline the men that came to my pack.

Micah tries to get back to the subject of the meeting. Let me explain what were planning, we're going to have a massive hunt for her. Taking all the guards that we can get our hands on and trackers. The plan is to start at one side of our Kingdom and just walk the whole thing.

You are going to walk through all our packs again. None of the Alphas sound pleased.
