The Ceremonies Start
Chris is laying in the bed sleeping. It seems he is having a nightmare. He keeps saying, No one is going to take her away again. Over and over.
I snuggle with him, this calms him right away. You are here, I was missing you.
I missed you too. Ray takes her hand and gently wipes his cheek with her fingers.
I didnt know I was that tired. I must of fallen asleep waiting for you.
You were thrashing around are you alright?
I was fighting. They were trying to take you again.
They will never take me from you again, ever, I wont let them.
Chris has a concerned look on his face, There is something we need to talk about. Well, I didnt think about this before but if we consummate the mating ceremony you are most likely going to go into heat in a week. There is a good chance you will get pregnant.
I did not think of that. Ray studders.
Do you want more pups? Chris is worried about Ray knowing she isnt handling intimacy very well.
I know I will have at least two more a boy and a girl.
Chris leans up on one elbow to see Rays face. Wait a minute, how do you know that?
The moon goddess told me, well she told Mariah, and Mariah told me.
Are you ok with that?
Its my destiny, so I guess it will be fine. She does not look fine with it.
Chris gives her a hug and a kiss on her head. Ray, are you going to be ok with mating with me? I know youre scared.
As long as we take it slow, and you help me to block out his face. That is the only way I can do the ceremony.
I truly love you, Ray I would never do anything to hurt you. The Goddess has given me such a gift. He holds her tight in his arms and gives her a kiss. Its the first time Ray doesnt flinch when he touches her like that. This little action gives him hope. We will be fine. All of us. Then there is crying that interrupts them. They are hungry, lets go feed the pups.
Chris, you look so good in that suit. Are you ready for today with all these ceremonies?
As long as I get you in the end, I am fine with it. I like the sun dress the blue matches your eyes. I am heading down I will meet you there. Chris leaves Ray getting ready.
The first ceremony will start in a half hour, I hope it goes well. Walter and Deon walk her downstairs. Walter gives her a warm smile making her feel a little better.
Ray is nervous twisting her fingers as she goes to meet up with the rest of them. Stop worrying, I am here with you.
They are going to see you today Mariah, what if others decide they want to kidnap me or the pups?
You have Chris and the family, it will be fine. The moon goddess is with you. Ray sees Chris when she gets to the bottom of the stairs.
Ray I had to see you before this all started.
Jenna I am glad you made it. Sit by us when we have lunch. I have missed you.
Ray they are waiting.
Im coming Chris. Jenna thanks. She gives her a hug.
Chris smiles as she joins him and kisses her cheek. You are beautiful. Holding hands, they walk to the platform where the king and queen are waiting for them both.
The king starts the introductions. I am proud to be here today to welcome home our daughter, Rayden Juliet Hamilton, and one of our long-lost sons, Christopher Williams, who has been absent from us for these last few years.
Everyone in attendance starts to give a round of applause to welcome the pair home. How long have you been back, Chris? One man asks.
Chris lies, Six months. Though I have been traveling, trying to find the princess. most of that time.
Where have you been, Princess? They said you had been missing.
I was kidnapped. I will not be discussing that though until we capture the man responsible.
You have pups. Someone in the crowed says then asks, Who do they belong to?
Chris squeezes Rays hand, They are my pups. Chris states, We will be having a ceremony today to introduce them to the packs. We will also be having a blood transfer ceremony to confirm they are my children. Because of the Princesss kidnaping.
A woman from the crowd steps up and asks, Are you and Chris back together permanently now? You have been apart for a couple of years?
We have loved each other our entire lives, but Chris had to leave to perform his Alpha duties. Now that he is home he is here to stay.
The queen interjects, That is enough questions for now.
Ray and Chris go inside to meet the Alphas, Lunas, and Betas, for their luncheon. Everyone is sitting down, as the king and queen enter arm in arm. The room all stands and bows in respect to them. Jenna looks at the couple, One day that will be you two.
This day is long already, and it has just started. Chris is not into large groups. This is one of the reasons I didnt want to be king, I hate crowds.
I dont like crowds either, but it seems they are happy for us, thats good right?
If you say so. Chris then tightens his grip on her hand. I can do this as long as you are by my side.
