Surprise Help

Ray POV

I have a problem. My clothes are getting to tight I need something larger to wear. As she pulls the fabric of the dress that is tight across her stomach. You can see my baby bump growing. Soon they will know I am pregnant. Somehow there must be a way to hide the bump, before I go to dinner with them. Help me find something to wear.

Dont worry Ray We will find something. Alice says.

We may have to take some of the dresses out, so they arent so tight. Lisa is looking at her clothes.

No. We may actually have to find a way out of here on our own. Ray is beginning to panic after looking in the mirror.

Doris and Alice nod their heads in understanding. The guard knocks on the door. Luna, dinner is ready. I am to escort you down.

Lisa says, Ray I can sew. Ill get started on letting them out tonight. I will get two or three ready by morning.

Thank you she touches her arm in appreciation. Do I look alright? Is it obvious? Ray asks the girls.

Alice says with a smile, Ray, you look fine. Dont worry. Relax and dont let them see you this tense.

I have to worry he is losing his mind, and I dont know what he will do next.

Micah and Joe are waiting for her at the table. Joe slaps Micah on the back, This is the best part of the day. I get to see her.

Micah growls, Knock it off. As she enters the dining room both men look at each other then back to her. Ray, are you okay? Micah asks as he pulls her chair out for her.

Im fine. She answers as she sits. Micah tries to put his arm around her, but she stops him and gives him a peck on the cheek. Dont worry about me.

What is wrong with you? Micah asks a little more like an order.

Joe adds, Youre still beautiful, but we can tell something is wrong.

Im not feeling very well this evening. I think I have caught a cold.

Do I need to get you a doctor? Micah asks.

No, Ill be fine. Itll pass. Wolves never stay sick, not really. Ray says with a smile. Dinner is quiet, no one talks at all. Its time for me to retire. A good nights sleep might make me feel better.

Joe stands, I will join you. Ray stands right after him, she loses her balance falling to her side. Joe grabs Ray by her hips to steady her which allows him to touch her stomach. They stared at each other for a few seconds.

I have it now, I must be even more tired than I thought. She gives him a pleading look without Micah seeing.

Not a problem, I like having a lovely lady in my arms. He winks at her. I will see in the morning.

Entering her room, she kicked off her shoes letting out a sigh of relief. As she turned to shut the door Joe was standing there leaning against the frame smirking.

What can I do for you? Thank you for not saying anything at the table.

Sounding extremely cocky he says, You have a hell of a secret that you wont be able to keep for very long. He motions for her to come to him at the door. Closer, he says. When she gets close enough, he lowers his lips to her ear, Your family is paying a lot of money for me to keep your secrets. Stop blowing them on the wind.

Ray steps back shocked as Joe pushes off the frame and saunters down the hall out of sight.

Mariah, we have to talk to him and see what he is going to do. He might tell Micah and then we are in big trouble.

How does he know about blowing on the wind. I agree we need to talk to him but you be careful. Its two oclock in the morning Ray sneaks out of her room to find Joes room. Looking down the hallway to make sure no guards are there. She sniffs the air until she finds Joes smell. She lightly knocks on the door and goes in. Joe sits up in his bed, Well, Luna, Princess, what are you doing here in the middle of the night?

Just Ray, what were you talking about? I have to know what you are up to.

You mean you didnt come here just because you want a real man? Look at all these muscles they would make you smile. He gives her one of his killer smiles. This makes Ray roll her eyes dramatically.

Tell me what you were talking about earlier.

You dam well know what Im talking about. Joe gets out of bed with nothing but his boxers on, Look I go for the money and you lady are worth a lot of money. They offered not to kill me and pay me five hundred thousand as long as you and the pups of yours are safe. If you want to get a message to anyone, tell me.

Ray says shocked, You know about my situation? Can you keep it a secret?

Ill just throw it in for free. Joe laughs. You better patronize Micah; he is running out of patient and wants you bad.
