Trying To Help

It takes an hour to get Ray cleaned stitched and bandaged. Thankfully the guards have all been field trained for wound care, Jake was a medic. Most of the rest of the day Ray sleeps, while the guards try to figure out a way to help her.

Jake asks, What can we do he's our Alpha he can command us? She doesnt deserve this.

What if we do a blood oath? That should be stronger than even an Alpha command. Wouldnt it?

I dont know anything about blood oaths. Walter is honest when he answers Tim, and the rest dont say anything.

My grandfather did a blood oath and he told me that is very powerful. That if it is broken the person would die. It overpowers any other oath or command.

Six days after the Alpha and Beta left, Dylan returned. The Alpha has sent me to check up on how things are going here.

Deon buts in, We all know the Alpha does not like the Luna, but she still needs help. A mate wouldnt have left her, who am I kidding a real mate wouldnt have done that.

Walter clears his throat. Beta, our Luna is just healing from what he did last time. Will he do that again?

I dont know, he is blaming her for all of this.

Ray gets up, squinting in pain. It is time for tea do you want some?

I spin around to glare at him, Or what will he do, beat me again? I turned my back on him, still wincing in pain.

You have too much heart and are too strong for a woman. Dylan turns me around to face him. Quickly Dylan pulls me into him and kisses me hard, then lets me go, turns around and leaves.

Where did that come from? Ray says in shock.

Mariah grins, Like bees to honey, Ray. You just draw them in.

Dylan closes the door and as he walks away thinking to himself, What did I do? Im in trouble, Dylan stay away from her. Ill keep telling myself that but is it going to work? Dylan decides not to stay. I will be back in a few days. The doctor will be here soon.

While Ray is sitting having her tea the guards gather around her. Is there a problem?

Walter steps up and begins to talk, If we could, we would take you home, but the Alpha will kill our families.

Walter pauses for a few seconds. We want to try something that may help.

With a smile on her face, Alice goes to the kitchen to get a knife. Each one cuts their palms one at a time repeating the oath. Walter is the first to start. Stating with his name he says, I, Walter Hulon, do here by pledge my loyalty and protection to Rayden Juliet Summers

Walter starts the oath again, I, Walter Hulon, do hereby pledge my loyalty, protection, and my life to Rayden Juliet Hamilton.

As they hold their palms together mixing their blood Ray says her oath back to him. I, Rayden Juliet Hamilton, do hereby accept your pledge and pledge to be loyal to you Walter Hulon.

Each person takes the oath one at a time. After everyone mixed their blood with hers and said this oath, they seemed to have formed a bond so strong that the guards and the omegas can now mind link Ray and each other, similar to what a pack has.
