Taking The Guards

Her father, who was listening to all of this waited until they left to talk to Ray. Ray I have decided to go and set up the finances with Dylan now. We will have the ceremony early tomorrow so that we can go and get you home.

The walk to the pack house and Dylans office doesnt take long. Dad I wanted to talk about my guards, they informed me they'll go wherever I go. I do not want to leave without them. They're bonded to me, my omegas are also bonded to me, I would like to bring them and their families to our land.

They are not trained like our guards. Our rules and ways are very different from the ones at this pack. They may not want to come, and they may not fit in.

Father dont act like this. I will go to the house and get them for you. Ray runs in the house and sees Jamie. Jamie gather the guards for me please. All six guards come in the living room. Thank you for coming, you all know I am leaving tomorrow. I want all of you to come with me. Before that can happen my father, the king wants to talk to you. I want you to all come over to Dylans office with me. If any of you want to stay here, then I would understand and accept it and miss you. If you want to come, follow me.

If the guards pass my fathers interview, then you will come too. He is worried that I am going to get hurt because of what has happened here. Please be patient and understand he is under a lot of stress.

They enter the office where the king is sitting behind the desk and Dylan is sitting across from him. Which one of you is Walter?

Walter steps forward bowing his head, Your Majesty.

My daughter has talked me about all of you. You are the leader of the guards am I correct?

I have been told by her that you want to go with her. I dont think you are trained well enough. She speaks highly of you and your men and said that you are trained better then I think. To guard her you have to be the best there is, will you be willing to continue your training?

Each one of them looks at Ray and nods. She is now and always will be our Luna. We will protect her and her pups with our lives even if you don't wish us to be with her. We will always be outside just a shout away, waiting for the time she needs us.

The king clears his throat, their comments touching him and making him realize how they truly feel. He looks at his daughter with the greatest pride and affection. This is what you want, this is what you'll have.

Ray looks at Walter with tears in her eyes then looks at her father. Thank you, Father.

Ray turns back to the men she admires. Prepare your families to leave. After the ceremony tomorrow we will be leaving for your new homes. Deon, Lisa if she still wishes can help with the pups and be their nanny. With her education she might want to change jobs. You're my guard she will still be coming with you and I know we can find her a different job if that is what she wants.

We have already spoken about this, she will be very honored, to stay with the pups. She thinks they will need someone to teach them, and she wants to be the one to help them learn.

I watched her with the kids in the pack today she is good with them, and I believe my pups will be lucky to have her. Go back to the house I will meet you there.

Ray stops them. I am no longer Luna of this pack, as of tomorrow I'm the Princess, a future queen. When we are quiet together by ourselves, I'm always Ray, when I'm out in public I am Princess. I wish we could have you say Ray even when we're in public.

The king gets up. We are done here I will go to your house with you. Ray takes his arm and walks with him and the guards back to the house.
