Adrian Gets a Surprise
I mind linked with Dylan. Block the stairs! She's getting away!
What happened?
The bitch punched me in the balls so hard I can't stand up yet.
She's coming! I see her. Dylan said, then suddenly, There she goes!
What the hell happened?!
In complete shock Dylan exclaims, She ran down the stairs, jumped on the rail, did a flip, landed on her feet, and ran out the door. I'm following her but I can't see her, and she has no scent.
Im coming mind link the warriors and the trackers. We have to find her.
Alpha Adrian, the trackers are out looking for her. The warriors are out front waiting for you.
Dylan, take half the men and go through the woods by the river and I will take the rest and go through the woods on the roadside. She cant have gone that far.
Alpha, it is six in the morning, and we cant find her. It is like she disappeared.
Look, the sun is coming up, well be able to see her. I know she hasnt crossed the border; I would have felt it. She has to be here somewhere, keep looking.

The sun is all the way up, the wind is getting brisk letting us know fall is on the way. Mariah, wake up. I have to go. Should we stick to the trees or run for it?
We're at the river, we can't jump that.
No duh, if we go under the water he might not know where we crossed. I remembered last night what dad told me about escaping an enemy pack. They cant sense you leaving if you go underwater. Something about the water messes up the signal.
Well, let's run when we cross. Check for wolves before we get down.

They are already close by I can sense them.
Ill stay in the trees and hope they dont look up.
Adrian mind links his pack, She's by the river! He takes off with the warriors right behind him. Do any of you see her?
I dont see her and still no scent! The warriors shouted in unison.
Dylan, where the hell did, she go, look over that side of the river.
Ill have the men spread out and look for tracks.
Here is a footprint. She had to have passed over here.
Good job Jack, follow the prints.
Thank you, Alpha. There are only four of them here and then they disappear without a trace. It is like she vanished.
Keep looking she is not getting away from me. Do you all hear me. The frustration in his voice is clear.
They are getting closer, and the trees are farther apart. Should I jump or wait them out?
