She Remembers

Im glad to have my friends and family back with me, but I would like all of you to go to the pack house.

Arent you coming with us?

I cannot go with you right now, Micah.

Why can't you come? Jenna asks, feeling confused.

I have things to attend to here that I cannot do at the pack house.

Then let us stay here. We will help you with it.

Ray has a scared look on her face, her fists tighten really hard, and everybody notices it. Wait here for a minute. She then walks down the hall. When she gets to the nursery door, she looks in. Mariah, can we do this? Can we really do this?

If they act up just blow them away. Dont worry about this. The two of them chuckle at the idea of Micah blowing down the hall.

Im going to have them come in here, I need you to protect my children. Put the four bassinets there, along the window. Walter, Jamie, I want you to stand on the sides. Sam, Deon, Jake, and Tim, I want to have one of you at the head of each of the bassinets. Doris, Alice, and Lisa, please stand between the bassinets. Do not let anyone get near my children. Especially if they are angry or have lost their Alpha tempers.

They are ours to protect. Walter looks at each of them in the room. We will not forget how important they are.

They are even more important than me, remember that.

Luna, Walter leans down to saying quietly, You can protect them better than we can. We will do as you wish, but don't let your fear destroy what you've become. She puts her hand on his arm, thanking him for his loyalty and love.

Ray goes back to the front door, Come down here, Ill show what I have to take care of. Ray enters the nursery and stands in front of the bassinets, with her head held high.

As the rest of them enter the entrance they see the bassinets that Ray is standing in front of. Micah sounding angry asks, What is this?

They are my children; they are my daughters.

What are you talking about? The anger in Micahs voice is scary.

The Alpha saw me at the ball, thought I was his mate.

Which you are not. Micah growls. Hearing this doesnt make Chris any happier, he makes a low snarl under his breath.

He had to have children before he was a certain age. In the process, I was made to get pregnant even if I didn't want to. I will not describe what I went through with you.

So, they're his pups?

No, Micah, they are my pups. If you cannot tolerate having my pups in your family, I will understand.

You want me to accept some other man pups, how am I supposed to do that. As Micahs voice rises Walter steps up standing next to Ray.

Chris admonishes Micah, You cannot see their part of her. You cannot see how special they will be. If you can love her, you can love any part of her, and they are part of her. I love them already and I have not even looked upon them.

Well, I'm not you! He yells at Chris.

Ray looks at Micah then looks at the other man. She doesn't know his name, but something inside is coming back to her. Chris sees her staring at him. Hello my little sunshine. He calls her by his nick name for her.

She sees a flash of light in her head, then it all comes back to her. Chris? It's you.

He looks at Ray bewildered, You Remember me?

Chris, how could I forget you?

You've been under a spell for a long time. You've always loved me, and I've always loved you. You have finally come back to me. It's taken a lot to bring you back and I'm sorry you've had to endure such pain. I'm so glad you remember me. I have never forgotten or stopped loving you.

Rays joy is so overwhelming that she runs, jumps in his arms and hugs him, he hugs her back, and he kisses her the most passionate kiss anyone has ever seen.

Micah growls with anger in his voice, Shes not yours. She's mine.

Chris looks at him still holding Ray in his arms, She was never yours, she's always been mine. Ive known it since the day she was born. There is nothing in this world that will take her from me again.

Who are you to say that to me? Who do you think you are?

I am your brother. I'm the one who had stepped aside because I was told I was the wrong one for Ray. I am not the wrong one for Ray, she belongs with me. Now we have children to raise together.

Micah makes a disgusted face. You could love them, really love them?

Ive already told you, Ray. I love you; they are a part of you, I will love them as if they were mine.

This comment makes Rays heart melt, Would you like to meet my daughters?

No, I would like to meet OUR daughters. He walks over to the bassinets and smiles at them. They are as beautiful as their mother.

Suddenly Micah starts walking towards them aggressively. The guards all step forward to protect the pups, he glares at them. Making two fists on both sides of him, anger showing on his face, he is thinking what the hell just happened.

Micah, things have changed. The truth is I love Chris, and I have never stopped. He has always been in my heart, even if my mind didnt remember him. Im sorry for all of the pain you are in.

So, you are going to leave me after all this time, all the time I have waited for you.

My life has become a mess, there is a lot that needs to be straightened out. The most important is my pups. You cant even accept them. Chris is the man I love, and I was rewarded with him and my children for all I have endured. I dont expect you to understand, but this is the way it is meant to be.

I'm sorry. It was just too much for me to handle. With time I can except anything to keep you in my life. Even the pups that are not mine.

We will discuss all this later. It's been a long day, if you are not angry, and would like to meet my children any of you can come up and say hello.

They are so little, and soft. It is hard to believe my best friend has pups. Jenna is touching their little hands.

They are five weeks old and make the cutes faces, would you like to hold one of them? Her love and pride is heard in her voice.

Can I hold one of our daughters?

Ray hands him one of the girls, Im sorry for what they did to me, you have always been in my heart. Nothing they did could take my love for you away.

He looks at her with nothing but love in his eyes, then he looks at the children, They have your eyes.

They are mine. They should have my eyes. They start grinning at each other like they have never been apart. Chris and Jenna hold each of the girls enjoying playing with them.

Micah does not hold the children he stands with his arms crossed then says, Im going to my room.

I will see you at dinner Micah. Ray tries to talk to him and try to get him to calm down. Has anyone told my mother and father I am safe?

To be honest we have been so happy that we found you we forgot.

Doris, Alice, and Lisa, Will you take care of the pups please? Men, please stay right here in the house. Protect them, in case Micah loses his temper and comes back. I wont be long.

We also forgot that Sophia came with us plus a surprise.

Who is Sophia?

She is waiting in the car, you will like her. I have known her for about three weeks, she feels like family. Ill introduce you to her when we get back.
