"No, dude— you are not going back with them!" Stiles protested, pacing in front of Scott.

The three of them had woken from their watery slumbers after a total of sixteen hours, with the new knowledge of where the Nemeton was and a general understanding of how to get there. Now, they had a new crisis.

"I made a deal with Deucalion—" Scott went to protest.

"Does anyone else think that sounds a lot like a deal with the devil?" Stiles cut him off, raising his hand in the air.

"Why does it matter anyway?" Isaac sighed, sitting close to Allison on the edge of one of the bath tubs.

"Because I still don't think that we can beat Jennifer without their help," Scott sighed, looking down at his feet.

I could smell the anxiety on him even though it was well contained from the doorway of the lab that I was leaned across.

"He trusts you more than anyone," Allison called out to Deaton, "tell him he's wrong."

Deaton hesitated, "I'm not so sure he is..." he glanced back at me in the doorway, "Circumstances like this sometimes require that you align with people you'd normally consider enemies."

"Okay, Korey is one thing," Isaac groaned in exasperation, "but you want us to trust him?! The guy that calls himself 'Death, Destroyer of Worlds'— we're gonna trust that guy?"

I mockingly placed a hand against my chest, raising the other to my forehead before pretending to swoon at his ability to differentiate me against a sadistic maniac.

Isaac offered me a sarcastic, false smile, tilting his head slightly to nod in acknowledgement to my behaviour.

"I wouldn't trust him, no," Deaton sighed, "But, you could use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemy, but he could also be the bait."

"Do you think it would be possible to kill Deucalion?" I blurted out, slightly raising my hand as if I was in a classroom before I dropped it when all their eyes turned to me. "What?" I huffed defensively before shrugging, "I'm asking for a friend."

"Korey," Deaton rotated his body to me, "no matter how strong you can make yourself, don't forget Deucalion is a demon wolf."

"Cool," I pulled a face, nodding quickly and clasping my hands together, "So like... would holy water work on him?"

"Oh my God," Lydia mumbled under her breath, her exasperation vivid and obvious.

"Korey," Deaton stared at me with warning, "Whatever you're thinking of doing, don't."

I dropped my hands back to my sides, "Yeah... I figured you were gonna say that."

"Korey," Scott stood up from the basin he'd been sitting on, "you can't face Deucalion alone. It would be crazy—"

"Actually, I think it's more crazy to try tricking a teenager into joining you so you can bleed her dry and drink her blood in hopes of it curing your blindness." I blinked at them blankly, and they mimicked my gesture back at me. "So, yeah."

Isaac let out a low sigh, "Way to bring down the mood."

"Oh, I'm sorry, did my trauma get in the way of your day?" I snapped at him.

Isaac's lips twitched up into a small, smug smirk, "Yeah, actually. It's kind of inconsiderate of you."

"You know what else is inconsiderate? Your fac—"
