"To free a possessed person is not a simple thing," Deaton sighed as he paced through his clinic.

"We know," Stiles grinned, pointing at him, "that's why we came to you."

"I'm glad to be a source of information," Deaton tried to hide his amusement before he turned slowly to look at the girl beaming up at him, her eyes full of curiosity. "But can someone first enlighten me on who these people are?"

"Amy Daniels, regular human and ready to help where she can," Amy stuck her hand out, taking Deaton's before he could respond and shaking it rapidly.

"Brett Talbott," Brett introduced himself curtly, "I'm in Satomi's pack."

Understanding formed on Deaton's face, and he nodded shortly, "Thank you for joining."

"Alright, alright," Stiles waved his arm out between them, "puppy pack to the side please, the adults are talking."

Liam pulled back Brett as the latter went to voice his outrage before he grabbed a still in awe Amy as well.

Isaac snorted behind me, leaning forwards to set his chin on my shoulder as I stood between his legs while he sat on one of Deaton's many counters. "You told us we need silver, and the Argents are willing to provide it, but what do we do with the silver?"

"Yeah," Stiles jerked his hand at Isaac, "the Big, Friendly Giant makes a good point for once,"

"I'm going to hurt you."

"Do we just need to point the silver at them? Do we stab them? Skin them?" Stiles continued as if Isaac hadn't said a word.

"Skin what? A shadow?" Malia frowned, her confusion obvious.

"No and definitely not," Deaton sighed, looking between the two of them. "To release a possessed person, you do not need the possessed person to be present. You just need the fae."

"We've already established the fae are in trees," Scott murmured thoughtfully, "so does it all come down to finding the right tree and using silver on it?"

"More specifically, stabbing through the trees with said silver," Deaton nodded slowly, "that will release the spirt of the fae back out into the world, destroying it considering the fact it won't be able to survive without a physical form."

Scott raised his hand, his expression serious, but before he could say anything, he was cut off.

"We are not saving these ones," Allison blurted suddenly, whipping around to point at Scott. "Do not get any ideas about uprooting trees and moving them somewhere else. We aren't landscape architects."

"Don't get any ideas about talking to the trees and reasoning with them. We aren't gardeners either," Lydia added on hastily.

"The only tree based occupation any of us will consider is lumberjacking because we are cutting that shit down," Stiles finished firmly, "comprende?"

Scott looked between them, his mouth slightly open before he nodded slowly, "I was just going to ask where to start looking for the trees."

"In the forest," Malia wrinkled her nose at him, "duh."

"Right..." Scott nodded slowly, "got it."

"Unfortunately, Malia is right in saying the forest is the only lead we have," Deaton stated with a short sigh. "The Nemeton hid itself after the fall of the Nogitsune. It's been a year since any of us have seen it, and it won't be easy to find. Even if we do find it, there's no saying how many infected trees there will be. We may need more help."
