"Good evening," Finn smiled widely as we stepped out of the cars, "thank you for arriving so promptly."

"You sent an SOS text followed by multiple knife emojis and a skeleton emoji," Stiles quipped shortly, "of course, we got here fast. We thought you were dead!"

"More like hoped," I mumbled under my breath, ignoring the few glances I received.

"As I'm sure you're aware," Finn continued as if nothing had been said, "another victim has been kidnapped. However, I am not inclined to allow this young man to die. Therefore, I am asking for your help to try and track him before it's too late."

"That's all well and good, but we need a scent to track someone," Isaac muttered, his eyes heavily-lidded as he wearily stared at each vampire.

"Gianna, bring the dogs something to sniff," Hannah flashed her eyes at us, her false smile laced with razor-sharp teeth.

"I've got a few of those too," I let my eyes glow, my own fangs extending, "wanna find out who'll bite first?"

"Enough!" Scott snapped shortly, "We have a real problem to deal with right now. Let's put prejudice and stigmas behind us."

And so, like the obedient dogs we were, we sniffed a piece of cloth and got into our cars, the vampire following behind us, all except for their youngest turned child, Ellie, who stayed home resisting the urge to suck people dry.

For some reason, the scent led us to Beacon Hills High School, the closed school staring down at us eerily in the night.

"We'll go in teams," Scott declared, "vampires and werewolves together."

"Not Allison," I snapped, turning to him sharply, "not Lydia or Stiles either. They're part of your pack, you owe them your protection, and you can only do that if you keep them as far away from leeches as possible."

"My clan will do no harm onto—"

"Shut up, you dusty, dried up, wannabe Carlisle relic," I snarled, seeing the reflection of my glowing eyes in Finn's.

"Korey, they're on our side," Scott groaned, his hand jumping up into his hair and pulling on it, "why can't you accept that?"

"Because I know them!" I pointed my finger out at the vampire clan, "I know their kind! If you send Allison or Stiles or Lydia with them... you'll basically be killing them with your own hands."

"I trust Korey," Allison blurted out, "and I trust my dad. They're both saying the same things, so I'd rather us humans and Lydia stick together."

"Guys," Scott pleaded.

"I trust Korey too," Stiles shrugged, "and they've threatened her before, so I know her distrust and anger is not misplaced. I'll go with Allison and Lydia."

"I'll go with them too," Malia raised her hand slightly, "I can fight off a vampire if necessary."

Scott sighed heavily, turning to Finn, "I'll go with you and your clan."

"Me too," Kira piped up, avoiding my eyes, "someone should."

"Perfect," Finn smiled widely, "Hannah and I shall go with you, and Jace and Gianna will go with Korey."

Scott glanced behind me, "Isaac—"

"With Korey," Isaac cut him off, shrugging his shoulder, "always with Korey."
