"Okay," Isaac murmured softly, turning down the volume of Liam's TV, "Tom and Jerry is on." He set the remote down, looking around the room. "You've had your hot chocolate. You've got your fluffy sockets and Korey's favourite knitted blanket. Mason is on his way with pizza. Is there anything else you need?"

Liam shook his head slowly, sinking down further into his pillow.

I slid my hands under his arms, tucking the blanket under him, "Alright, well, call us if you need anything. We're going straight to Scott's after this to tell him what happened. Everything is going to be okay."

"Can you stay until Mason comes?" Liam whispered, anxiety still swirling through him.

"Of course we can," Isaac sighed, reaching for the Liam's nightstand to turn the light on. "Try get some sleep. We'll be in the next room."

I left Liam's bedroom door open slightly, moving to the kitchen so he couldn't hear us, but I could still see inside the room. I crossed my arms over my chest, "He's still terrified."

"He saw Chris put a bullet in his head," Isaac sighed, resting his elbows on the kitchen counter before he leaned his head into his hands. "He actually saw these things happen to him, he heard them, felt them..."

"It's sounding more and more like we were right about the Black Mass," I mumbled, moving to stand beside him so I could lower my voice further. "Are you okay?"

Isaac tensed, dragging his hands down his face before he pushed off the counter, holding onto the edge of it. "Yeah. Just seeing him like that brought up some bad memories."

I nodded slowly, leaning back to look at his face, "Do you want space, or do you need comforting?"

He glanced at me from the corner of his eyes, debating my question in his head before he held one hand out to me. "How's your wrist?"

I moved my wrist into his hand, letting him study the skin for any damage, "It's completely fine."

He ran his thumb over the skin before sighing heavily and pulling me towards him.

I slid into the small gap he'd created between himself and the counter, looping my arms around his waist as he let go of my hand.

"For a second, I saw too much of myself in him," Isaac mumbled, resting his head on top of mine, "the fear and the anger... it's one heck of a combination."

I snaked my hand up, rubbing his back slowly in small circles.

He let out a long breath, slowly bringing his arms up and wrapping them around my shoulders, "You did a really job by draining him when you found him. You probably saved him from a whole bunch of worse injuries."

My stomach fluttered gently, and I tightened my hold on him as a smile threatened to grow on my face. "Says the one who helped Liam calm down after the biggest nightmare of his life."

Isaac laughed quietly, his hand moving up to weave into my hair so he could comb through it. "Mason is here."

I pulled back slightly, sniffing the air, the smell of cheese and tomato striking my nose, "Damn. I'm kind of hungry now."

Isaac untangled himself from me, offering me his hand, "We can grab something from a drive-through on the way home."

We briefed Mason as best as we could before we left, stopping for burgers before we went on to the McCall house.
