I swore as the school bell rang, hurrying to finish my painfully lukewarm shower as quickly as I could. I was supposed to be in math class... or maybe English, one of them, at least. Instead, I had to explain to the school nurse how me bumping into someone made them break their wrist. As if it was my fault, he was too slow to move out of the way.

I hurried to turn the shower off, stepping through the shower room hurriedly and slipping back into the changing rooms, rushing to get dressed. Everyone had already gone ahead to class, and I had no idea where Korey was, but she probably had class too.

A low buzz sounded over my head just as I tugged my shirt over my head, and I looked up with a frown as the light flickered. The buzzing grew louder as I continued to get dressed, and by the time I'd managed to slip my shoes on, the changing room had plunged into darkness.

I huffed, storming over to the light switch and trying it a few times, but the buzzing had stopped now, and the lights remained off. "Seriously? A power cut?"

I stormed back over to the bench between the lockers, reaching for my bag, but my feet stumbled, and for a second, it felt as if something was grabbing the back of my head and pulling me. Then, as soon as it came, the feeling went, and I was left looking around in confusion, picking up my bag and setting it down on my shoulder.

The corridors were empty when I left the changing room and jogged down the corridor, trying to find Mason, who had promised to come find me after practise. He wasn't anywhere in sight, though, so I was forced to dig through my bag for my schedule, trying to understand where I was supposed to go.

"He's over here!"

I whirled around towards the sound of Malia's shout, my eyes going wide as the were-coyote glared at me, her eyes shining blue. I dropped my bag, holding my hands up in surrender, "Whoa! What's going on?"

Malia growled out, starting to run towards me as hair sprouted out of her face.

Panic flooded my system, and I turned on my heels instinctively, running in the other direction, "I don't understand what's going on!"

"Liam, don't make this worse for yourself!" Chris Argent's voice called out from somewhere. "We know what you did. There's no point running from the truth."

I pulled a confused face, stopping short as I looked around in circles, "What the hell is going on? Is this about that guy's wrist? I didn't mean to! I was just in the heat of the game!"

A hand grabbed the back of my neck, throwing me to the floor.

I swallowed nervously as Isaac glared down at me, his eyes a bright, burning amber, "I didn't mean to..."

"How could you do this to us?!" Kira roared as she stormed down the corridor with Malia. "We thought you were one of us! We thought you understood the consequences of your anger by now!"

My stomach pulled and twisted uncomfortably as nerves rushed through, "I've been keeping a hold on my anger..."

"You call this keeping a hold of your anger?" A hand jerked my face to the side.

My heart stuttered in fear as I stared at the three thick jagged lines running across Korey's face, one of her eyes milky white and half her nose missing. "Oh my Go— what happened?"

Korey's lips pulled back into a snarl, one of her eyes growing golden as she shook her head at me, "You did this to me. You don't get to pretend you didn't."
