"Okay, I don't like him." I stuck my finger out at Aiden. "I tolerate him." I moved my finger to Ethan. "And he's in my life, and there's nothing I can do about it," I pointed at Isaac, "but even to me, this seems a little mean." I winced as Aiden groaned, gagging loudly as Deaton dug his fingers into his mouth, trying to pull out what the Nogitsune had infected him with.

"You don't like me?" Isaac tried to joke, smiling weakly as he sat propped up against the wall.

"No, shut up," I spluttered, crouching down in front of him, "it would have totally ruined my point if I said I hated those two and said I liked you."

"You like me?" Isaac's smile grew as he bent his head to the side, resting on a pipe tiredly.

"Not the time to be dying," I reached out to tap his cheek, amusement blooming in my stomach, "Deaton's got to torture you first."

"Pass," Isaac mumbled out.

"Alright, Isaac, you're next," Deaton stepped out of the shower room, his face serious and concerned.

"Did you get it out?" I mumbled, looking into Deaton's palm as he held it out to me, a small black bug lying inside it. My stomach dropped, and I shot up.

"What is it?" Allison rushed to my side, her hand on my arm, "What's wrong?"

"When I..." I glanced back at her and then, to Deaton, "when I woke up, there was something in my throat, so I turned on my enhancements sort of on instinct." I looked down at the dead fly again, "I coughed one of those out."

"You killed a Nogitsune's fly through the strength of your healing?" Deaton confirmed slowly.

I nodded quickly, "I guess so." I glanced down at Isaac then, my heart jumping as I found him already staring up at me, "I'm gonna try it on him."

"It might not work," Deaton sighed.

"Yeah, but it also might," I crouched down again, eyeing Isaac carefully before I reached out to cup his face, "ready?"

Isaac nodded silently, his hooded eyes watching me carefully, his mouth opening slightly as my eyes began to glow yellow.

I let the heat build up substantially before I let a tether from, the buzzing in my ears soft and like a beehive as the line attached to Isaac's chest.

He gasped softly, his hands flying up swiftly to cover mine, holding onto them gently.

I focused on his pain, imagining the fly, sending bolt after bolt of power through the line until he made a small choking nose. I pulled him forward by his shirt, bending him and quickly thumping his back.

He covered his mouth with his hand as coughing wracked his body, and then, he spat harshly straightening out shakily, the fly shrivelled up and burnt in his hand.

"Well done, Korey," Deaton praised quickly before looking to Ethan, "will you do him as well, or should I?"

"He can kiss my ass," I quipped, pushing Isaac's shoulder back so he could sit back against the wall again.
