"You know, it's so nice to get away from everything once in a while," Allison breathed out as she lay back on Lydia's bedframe. Her face was covered in some kind of mask that looked a bit like guacamole, and her eyes were coated in cucumber slices.

"Is it just me who has the strongest urge to taste the face mask?" I mumbled, turning to Kira and Malia.

"I already tried it," Malia admitted, wrinkling her nose, "it did not taste good."

"Good to know," I nodded firmly before I gasped as a drop of the mask from my own face fell onto my joggers.

"I told you not to move," Lydia groaned, rushing back over to me with her fancy face mask brush.

"I just breathed," I protested, letting her force my head up towards the ceiling.

"If it gets in the way of your beauty, don't do it," Lydia touched up the side of my face.

"That's really bad advice for people who are constantly getting into life-threatening situations," Kira murmured. She reached out for the packet of crisps we had between us blindly before she raised a crisp to her mouth, dramatically tilting her head back as she tried to eat without ruining her face mask.

"Maybe we need something to talk about to keep us distracted from how... wet our faces feel," Malia suggested. "Does anyone have anything interesting to talk about?"

"Uh..." Kira reached out for another crisp, "I passed my history project?"

"Nice," I snorted, "Isaac did our chemistry project for us, and we both passed."

"Extra nice," Kira laughed lightly, "we're such good seniors."

"I was thinking something interesting like hunting," Malia piped up, "I nearly caught a deer the other day."

A moment of silence crossed Lydia's room.

"Why... were you chasing a deer?" Lydia finally asked carefully.

"To eat," Malia stated plainly, as if it was an everyday occurrence, "why else would I chase a deer?"

"Do you not have food at home?" Lydia blurted out, her eyes going wide, "Do we not feed you?"

"But deer tastes so much better than frozen pizza," Malia grumbled, slinking down until she was laid back on the fluffy carpet.

"Someone change the topic," Lydia groaned, glancing back at Allison, "please."

Allison snorted softly, feeling the girl's eyes on her as she reached up to remove one cucumber from her eyes. "How about something so mundane and so boring it can't go wrong? Something so high school and so teenage girl."

"Boys," Lydia breathed out in relief, "why didn't I think of that? Let's talk about boys right now so I can erase the image of dead deer from my head."

"They aren't always de—"

"Hey, Malia!" I rushed out as laughter bubbled up inside me while Kira pat my leg repeatedly to stop from giggling. "Tell us about Stiles!"

Malia frowned in confusion, "He's Stiles? What else is there to know?"

"She means what's he like as a boyfriend?" Kira turned slightly before she scrambled to look up again as her face mask began to slip.

"Oh," Malia blinked before shrugging, "he's the little spoon."

"You know, that is so unsurprising, and it makes complete sense," Lydia murmured lowly before she turned to Kira. "I'd ask you about Scott, but... you know..." She motioned her head to Allison.
