"It has to be on a telluric current, or maybe even at the axis of two, or where they all intersect." Stiles explained rapidly, leaning on the metal table of the animal clinic,  "I just know it's where Derek took Paige to die."

Allison and Isaac had refused my idea of immediately rushing after Jenna Baccari, or apparently Jennifer Blake to them. They said we needed more help and I shot back that I could be all the help we needed but then Isaac frogmarched me out of the vault so now, I was stuck beside him at the animal clinic.

"My dad and Gerard were there once," Allison walked towards Stiles, "But Gerard said it was years ago, and he couldn't remember where it was." She paused slightly,  "And, my dad obviously isn't here to tell us now."

"Yeah, mine either," Stiles huffed softly, looking up at Deaton.

"Then how do we find this place?" Isaac asked, leaning back on the wall beside me. He was anxious, annoyingly so, like a nervous ball of energy practically vibrating, and the sour smell around him only strengthened when he turned to me. "Now would be the time to talk if you know something."

"Yeah, what's her deal?" Lydia pointed her finger out at me, "Why is she here? I thought she was with Deucalion."

All of their eyes snapped to me, and I dug my nails into my arms, resisting the urge to bolt out of the room. If ever I had felt alone, this moment was it.

"She's not," Isaac spoke for me, "Chris said she's not, at least. He said she's gonna help us."

"Help us?" Stiles blurted, jerking around to face me fully, anger radiating off him, "You want to help us?"

"Stiles," Deaton called out to the boy softly but with warning.

"No," Stiles whipped around to the vet before snapping at me again, "your pack— your allegiance to Deucalion— is the reason we didn't pay enough attention to Jennifer Blake!"

"Stiles, that's not fair," Deaton cut in again.

"Isn't it?" Lydia's face twisted in false confusion, "Seems fair to me."

Claws extended through my fingers, cutting through the fabric of my jacket, and I fought to remind myself why I was here in the first place. Chris had been kind to me, I owed him for that even if I didn't want to be here, even if I wouldn't find a place with them.

Deaton sighed heavily, looking past Stiles to me, "Korey, right?"

I nodded curtly, pushing off the wall  to stand up straight.

"Great," Deaton smiled softly, "Korey, was there a reason Chris Argent took you to the vault?"

I swallowed thickly, jerking my claws out of my skin, "Yeah."

"Helpful," Stiles scoffed, throwing his hand in my direction, "one word answers and nods. At this rate, we'll find the Nemeton in uh..." he flung his arms in the air, "a decade?!"

"I can't find your shitty tree," I snapped, my eyes flashing a dull yellow as I tried to push back my anger, "but I can find Jenna Baccari."

A flicker of realisation touched Deaton's eyes, "He knew you'd be able to track her scent."

"Yeah," I agreed again, "and I can. I tried it already."

"You can track an evil darach, but not anyone useful?" Stiles huffed, "Great, just great, wow." He threw me a sarcastic thumbs up, "Wow, thank you so much, Korey, thank you!"
