*Flashback*
The council chamber was bathed in the soft glow of torchlight as Dino stood before the elder wolves, his heart pounding with frustration and anger.
He had hoped that with the departure of their old pack leader, the council would reconsider their decision to force him to wear the muzzle. But it seemed that their judgment remained unchanged.
"Dino." One of the elders spoke, his voice stern and unwavering, "You are required to continue wearing the muzzle."
Dino's fists clenched at his sides as he fought to keep his emotions in check. "But why?" He protested desperatly. "I've done nothing wrong. Why am I still being punished?"
The elder's gaze bore into him, unmoved by his pleas. "You are young and inexperienced," he declared. "Without a pack leader to guide you, you are seen as a potential threat to the stability of the pack."
Dino's heart sank at the realization that even in the absence of their old leader, he was still being judged and condemned.
It felt like a betrayal, a betrayal of everything he had worked so hard to prove - his loyalty, his dedication, his worthiness to be a member of the pack.
"I won't do anything to harm the pack," Dino insisted, his voice trembling with frustration. "I've never given you any reason to doubt me."
But the elder remained unmoved, his expression cold and unyielding. "The decision has been made," He said firmly. "You will continue to wear the muzzle until we deem it necessary to remove it."
As Dino turned to leave the chamber, a sense of defeat washed over him. He felt powerless, trapped by the judgment of those who saw him as nothing more than a liability, a burden to be controlled and contained.
Outside the chamber, the rest of the pack waited, their expressions a mix of sympathy and frustration. Minghao's eyes burned with anger as he watched Dino emerge, the muzzle still firmly in place.
"This isn't right," Minghao muttered, his voice laced with indignation. "He doesn't deserve this." He said.
Jeonghan placed a hand on Minghao's shoulder, his expression grave. "I know, but for now, we have to abide by the council's decision. We'll find a way to help Dino, but we have to be patient."
As they made their way back to the dens, Dino's heart heavy with resentment, he couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness creeping in.
How could he prove himself worthy of trust and respect when even those in positions of power refused to see him for who he truly was?
He would prove them wrong, one day, and show them that he was more than ust the youngest Beta of the pack. He was a member of the pack, deserving of respect and acceptance, muzzle or no muzzle.
