As the adrenaline of the battle with his father faded, Seungcheol's senses sharpened, and he became acutely aware of a dull ache spreading across his stomach.
He glanced down, his breath catching in his throat as he saw the deep gash his father's claws had left behind.
Seungcheol gritted his teeth against the pain, his fingers trembling slightly as he reached down to touch the wound. Blood coated his fingertips, staining his shirt a dark crimson.
The realization of the severity of his injury sent a wave of dizziness crashing over him, and he stumbled backward, bracing himself against a nearby tree for support.
His mind raced with a flurry of thoughts. He couldn't afford to give up, not now, not here not when his pack was waiting for him.
But he couldn't lie the pain was relentless, pulsing through his body with each beat of his heart.
Summoning all of his strength, Seungcheol took a deep, steadying breath, forcing himself to focus. He had to get back to the pack, to Jeonghan and the others, before the wound worsened.
With a determined grimace, Seungcheol pushed himself away from the tree, his muscles protesting with every movement. He took a shaky step forward, then another, each one a battle against the pain that threatened to overwhelm him.
As he stumbled through the darkness of the forest, Seungcheol's thoughts turned to his pack - his family. As much as he didn't want them to see him like this, weak and injured. He knew he needed help.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Seungcheol emerged from the trees and into the clearing where the pack's den was located. He could see the warm glow of the fire in the distance, like a beacon of hope in the darkness.
