Katie's music plays quietly in the background as she drives us to Manchester, it takes us a little over 3 hours to get there. "Where are you staying?" Katie asks as we entered Manchester. "I don't have anything booked, I figured I'd just walk into a hotel and ask for a room till the end of the week." I sighed, Katie rolls her eyes. "Let's hope somewhere has space for us." She says with a light smile. We ended up trying a couple of hotels, none had availability. "Third time lucky right?" Katie clenched her jaw in frustration. "Look you don't have to stay, go if you want." I sigh. "I'm clearly pissing you off. I get it." I frown. "Shut up, I'm not leaving you here alone...now let's try this hotel." Katie suggested.

"Hello, how can I help?" The receptionist asked. "Do you have any availability for a twin room from tonight till Sunday please?" I asked, the receptionist types onto her keyboard. "Hmm. We have one room left...but it's a double room." She confirms, I look at Katie and then back at her  "umm...-." I start to say. "We will take it." Katie answers with a smile, before I could even finish what I was about to say. "Great, if you could give us 10- 15 minutes we will have the room ready." The receptionist tells us. "Great. Do you have parking at all?" Katie asks. "Yes of course, if you follow the road to the back of the hotel we have a secure car park. If you take your car and park it, then come back and let us know which space you parked in we will keep it free for the duration of your stay."  "Great, thanks." Katie and I leave the hotel to park the car.

"You just agreed to a double room..." I say breaking the silence between us. "I know... we've had no luck with any other hotel so unless you wanna sleep outside or in the car, I'd much rather take the double room." Katie shrugs. "Hmm. Ok, we will just have to keep to our own sides of the bed." I sigh. "What are you worried about?" Katie asked. "I'm not sure you should be in the same bed as me when you have a girlfriend back in London." I state. "I'll stay on my side. It's not a crime... it's not like I'm doing anything more." Katie frowns. "I'll sleep on the floor if you want." "No, your back would wouldn't be forgiving... We can just stay on our own sides of the bed." I nod, Katie smiles. Katie reverses into her parking space, I smile lightly. "Why are you smiling?" Katie raises an eyebrow. "I'm home." I reply, my voice just above a whisper. Katie smiles lightly too. "Hmm."

We get out of Katie's car and collect our bags, taking a slow stroll to the hotel. I hoped the room would be ready, I'm so ready to sleep. We went back up to reception where Katie told the receptionist where she left her car. "Thank you. Your room is almost done, take a seat and I'll come and get you in a moment." She smiles. "Thank you, love." Katie smiles. I smirk as we sit down. "What?" Katie asks, looking at me. "She's ticking all your boxes... Love." I tease. "Nah... I-." Katie started to say. "You have Caitlin." I nod. "Hmm." Katie rubs her face. "Ladies, your room is ready... if you'd like to follow me." The receptionist says. Katie and I stand up and follow her. "This is your room and keys, enjoy your stay." She smiles to us. "Thanks, love." Katie says, I wiggle my eyebrows at her, she rolls her eyes at me. "Cheers hon." I smile at the receptionist, with a gentle smile she leaves us outside our room.

"Go on then, McCabe. Do the honours." I say after she leaves. Katie takes one of the keys and opens the door for us. "Come on then, Burns." Katie says as she steps into the room, I follow after. "Oh wow... look at this room." I gasp, I walk over to the bed and put my bag down before belly flopping onto it. "Ahh." I sigh happily and close my eyes.
