Friends And Good Food

There had been a lot of speculation on my love life, since I posted the picture of mine and Katie's shadow. Katie was loving it, she spent ages looking through comments and reading a few out to me. Apparently some people ship us and some 'McBurns' accounts have been created. So many people speculating over Katie and I and some just speculating over me, unsure who my picture was with. Either way, people were talking and neither of us cared if it was good or bad, we have each other and that's all we wanted.

I join Katie on her couch, glancing over her shoulder. "You're obsessed with these TikTok's, Miss McCabe." I chuckle as Katie watches yet another TikTok about us. "Anyone would think you ship McBurns." I poke her ribs. "It's that McCabe one... she's fit as.. have you seen her?" Katie smirks. "Oh I've seen her. Don't see the hype honestly." I bite my upper lip in attempt to stop myself from laughing. Katie's head whips round so fast, I raise my eyebrows. "You're an ass." She pouts, fake stropping. "You love it." I wink. "Nope. I don't, you're annoying." Katie says confidently still keeping up with her pretend strop. "Least my boy loves me." I sigh dramatically and stroke Cooper, who had found himself a comfortable spot between us. "First you steal my bed, my heart and now you steal my son... the audacity. Honestly Liliana." Katie rolls her eyes, I laugh. "I can't help being so damn lovable, he loves me and you know it." I grin.

Katie's eyes fall onto Cooper and then raise back up to look at me. She drops her pretend strop act and smiles lightly. "He's not the only one." I return the smile. "Aww, well I guess you're not bad yourself." I tease. "Girl, come on." Katie shakes her head at me. "Alright, alright. You got it. I love you too, though, maybe I love my Cooper just that bit more than I love you." Katie's smile drops. "You're unreal, where did I even find you? I don't think I kept the return address, unfortunately." I can't help myself but laugh at Katie. "Why are you laughing? I'm sending you back. You're going back to wherever it is you came from." Katie huffs. "Oh, you never would, we both know it." I wiggle my eyebrows. "Even if I wanted to, I don't think I could leave you alone." Katie admits. My heart swelled, she didn't think she could leave me alone?

My mind wandered, my thoughts consisted of my time in London, Katie, Katie, Katie. Football, Arsenal, catapulted straight back to Katie. When I first moved had I envisioned my life as it is now? Well maybe the football side, yeah. Katie? No. I still can't believe it now, Lili Burns and Katie McCabe. Once hated by one and other and now we can't get enough of each other - literally.

"Hey, Lils. Did you even hear any of what I said?" Katie asked, a frown etched onto her face. I shake my head. "Sorry, I got lost in my head. What did you say?" I asked. Katie squinted her eyes questioningly. "What's wrong?" Her eyes burn into me. "Lils? Come on you can tell me anything." Katie worries, I smile lightly, shaking my head. "It's nothing, I was just thinking. And, well apparently I got lost in my thoughts." I admit, Katie doesn't seem convinced. "Honestly. It was good stuff. You have a way of consuming my every thought." I laugh, Katie smirks. No doubt, she was loving the fact I had admitted to my thoughts being of her. My god, her head certainly doesn't need to get any bigger.

"Well I would say show me, but Viv texted me minutes ago to remind me that we're due over at hers in about 20 minutes." Katie sighs dramatically. "What and you don't think I can show you later?" I laugh. "Well... I wanna see now." Katie frowned and tapped on her phone, I assume she's replying to Viv. "I'm gonna tell her we can't come." Katie mumbled. "No, don't!" I laugh. Katie smirks. "You didn't?" I ask. "Nah, we should get ready though." Katie strokes Cooper, who huffed and moved away from us both, resettling himself on his bed to sleep.

Katie and I were quick to get ready and were now stood at Viv and Beth's front door. Katie knocked on the door, before joining her hand back with mine. "Ah here they are, come in love birds." Beth smirks and gives us both a hug before we enter. Beth was relentless with questions, making Katie and I laugh and blush. Viv entered the  lounge from the kitchen still wearing her pinny. "Beth, let them breathe." She shakes her head and passes Katie and I, both a glass of wine each. "Thanks Viv. Beth's really making a house wife outta you, ain't she?" Katie takes a sip of her wine, nodding her head towards the pinny. "Dinner should be ready in a few minutes." Viv confirmed, she looked down at the pinny. "I didn't want to spoil my clothes." She rolls her eyes. Beth grins cheekily, giving Viv a peck on the lips. "Mooi." (pretty) she says to Viv, Viv slides her arm round Beth's waist.
