Thinking This Through Just Like, "One, Two, Yeah, I'm In Love With You!"

I'd spent a couple of days at home, I needed to stay away from Kyra for a bit. I didn't trust myself not to lash out, I didn't want to lose what I have with Lili so far, because of Kyra. The things Kyra had said played on my mind, normally I'd laugh it off. She's bitter, she's cruel and one wrong look or a snide remark would instantly have me ready to fight her. I know that isn't the way forward, the last thing I want is Lili to completely back away.

I laid in bed, alone after yet another restless night. I know I can't lay here all day, I refuse to. There's so much I need to do today, I have no idea where to start. Judging by the strong sunlight coming from the window, through the gap of my blinds it's sunny. I mean, the fact that I'm laid here, half naked because I'm too hot is also a tell tale sign too, I guess. Cooper laid beside me purring away, clearly enjoying the calm. I gently scratched his belly, I swear he thinks he's a human or something when he lays on his back like this. "Looks like the weather decided to help your Mam today, I just hope nothing goes wrong." I say to Cooper, a small smile plays on my lips, Cooper looks up at me and meows. "Yeah, I know... let's get you some breakfast." I pull back the covers and go to get up- as I do my phone rings. I smile instantly seeing "Annoying Brit" on the caller ID.

A smile plays on my lips as I answer. "Hey, you." I grin. "Good morning." Lili said, her voice indicating she'd only just woken up. "Someone sounds sleepy still. How are you?" I asked, unable to hold back a light chuckle. "Hm, I'm good. I miss you, what are you doing today? Can we see each other?" Lili questioned. "Oh, I miss you too... I have a couple of errands to run today... Hey, how about I pick you up around 12? Let's do something nice together." I suggest. "Yeah, I'd like that." She responded, sounding much more awake now. "It's a date then. I'll ring or text you when I'm on my way ok?" I tell her. "Of course. See you later then." I smile to myself, at least this solves the problem of spending time with Lili without raising suspicions of what I have planned for her. Today is a special day, or at least I hope it will be. "See you later, gorgeous." I smiled before we both hung up.

I gave Cooper some breakfast and got myself washed and dressed. If anything, speaking to Lili gave me even more motivation to make today special. Kyra doesn't have the upper hand. I skipped breakfast, I'd get something while I was on the move. With me getting Lili at 12pm, I needed to get a move on. I slipped on my shoes, grabbed my phone keys and wallet and headed out the door. First stop, Sainsbury's. I parked up and grabbed a couple of reusable bags from my boot, i grabbed a trolley and headed into Sainsbury's. I thought about the things Lili liked as I walked down the different aisles of the shop. I carefully choose different items to put in my trolley, while keeping an eye on the time. Once I was satisfied with my choices, I head to the check out and pay, making my way back to the car. I then stopped by at a couple of other places before heading home to prepare the food I'd bought. 

I glanced up at the time after a quick tidy round, Cooper was playing with his little teddy mice. "Cooper, don't destroy the house." I chuckled as he tapped the mouse hard and chased after it. "Seriously, son." I shake my head, watching him for a few moments. I needed to leave and get Lili. The nerves were kicking in, I had put so much effort into what I had planned. I just hope Lili would like it. I put all the stuff in my boot, before getting into my seat and starting the car, setting off minutes later. Thoughts swirled round my head, I began to question myself. Was I making the right choice? Maybe some music will help settle my mind, I reach over and put my Spotify on shuffle. I listen to the music playing, it definitely helped to calm my thoughts. I pulled up outside Lili's house, I decided it'd be best to stay in the car. Kyra might be there and I really don't want to have to see her if I can help it.

After giving myself a once over in the mirror and applying my perfume, I look out my bedroom window and see Katie's car. I smile widely, it had only been a couple of days but I'd missed her so much, I slipped my feet into my trainers and grabbed my phone and keys off the side, heading downstairs to leave. "Say hi to her, for me." Kyra spoke up, my eyes land on her for a moment and just as quickly leave her. "Bye." I say and leave the house, my heart skipped a beat as I open the car door and see Katie. She looked gorgeous, as always. "Hey, you." I grin and get into the car. Katie looks me up and down, biting her lip. "Heya...you look beautiful." She smiles widely, I lean in and we share a kiss. The kiss wasn't desperate or needy, it simply said 'I've missed you.'  Katie and I shared a quiet moment, our foreheads resting against each other. None of us spoke, we didn't need to. The silence was comfortable, our hands intertwined with one and other. I was exactly where I wanted to be, right here, with Katie. "We should go..." Katie whispered as she placed one more kiss on my lips. "Hmm" I hum into the kiss, in agreement.
