Chelsea vs Arsenal... my debut day...

Jonas sent out a preview of the starting 11 into our Arsenal WhatsApp chat. I sat with my coffee and wheatabix in the kitchen at the table as I looked over the names on the picture. I wasn't in on the starting 11 but I did have my name on the subs list so I guess that's a start. I'd been nervous for my debut, what would the fans be thinking, what would they be saying? I'd transferred from Manchester City to Arsenal and no doubt some people would be hating on me for it. I try my best not to read the negative stuff on social media but sometimes it seeps through and I can't help but read. People can be so nasty, yet there's also the good ones who don't care what you do, they'll back you for the person you are.

"Hey." Kyra smiles and sits at the table with me. "Morning." I replied. "Don't be nervous, you're an amazing player." Kyra comforted, I really needed to hear that today. I didn't have anyone coming to the game to see me, I was literally going to be making my debut with not one single person there to cheer me on, except the fans. Not wanting to show how I felt I plastered a smile on my face. "I know that today is gonna be our day. Arsenal will 100% be walking away winners. We're not letting Chelsea get their quadruple." I say confidently. Kyra smiles at this. "Hell yeah, they're not. We've got one of the best on our team...it'll be a walk in the park." Kyra agrees. We sit for a while talking about the game, Kyra seemed really excited about it. She has done some absolutely amazing saves for arsenal with her challenges and her quickness on the ball. I've seen it in training, she's an absolute weapon when she gets going. Kyra Cooney- Cross is not to be messed with.

We made our way to London Colney where we met everyone for the journey to the Molineux stadium in Wolverhampton. Kyra and I took an Uber there as Beth and Viv had been extremely late setting off, so had no time to collect us first. "Hi everybody." Jonas grinned as we all one by one got onto the coach to go. Almost everyone was on the coach and ready, though we still had to wait for the last few straddles. I took a seat at a tabled area, Kyra joined me. We made light conversation as we waited.

Around 10 minutes later the last 5 people got onto the coach each mumbling a "sorry" or a "ahh we made it." I poked my head into the gangway curious to see who had been late. I already knew that two of the people were Beth and Viv, then came Leah followed by Caitlin and Katie. Leah looked focused, how was this girl already armed with her game face. I inwardly shake my head and chuckle. "Thanks for saving us seats." Beth grins as she dramatically throws herself into the seat by the window. "I mean, I almost thought you decided not to come." I teased. "Blame Myle." Beth starts. "She's been a very naughty girl today." Viv looked at Beth as she sits down and smiles shaking her head. "What did she do?" I raised my eyebrows. Beth and Viv had gotten a puppy, she was their little baby and Beth and Viv each loved to talk about her any given time. "She ran off with Viv's socks." Beth chuckled. "We spent the best half an hour chasing her round the house for them." Viv continued "Why didn't you just get another pair?" I laugh. "Because she would have eaten them and that means a vet bill for a poorly puppy." Viv stated matter of factly. I nodded in agreement. "Ah yeah...wise owl." Beth cuddled into Viv. "That's my Vivi." She said proudly.

"No you can't do that!" Viv raised her voice for the 5th time in 20 minutes as Beth, once again tried to cheat during our game of UNO. "Yes I can Vivi. That's the game." Beth smirked "Lili, back me up?" Viv sighs. "Viv's right Beth." Beth let out a fake hurt gasp. "Lili. You traitor." I shake my head at her with a laugh. "Beth this wouldn't happen if you didn't try to sabotage the game every time you're loosing." I laugh. "Not fair." Beth scrunched her face up in fake disgust. Viv looks at Beth in adoration and amusement. "You're a sore loser, mijn meisje" Viv concludes just as we pulled up at the services.

Everyone piled off the coach and stretched their legs, some of them going for a quick toilet break. Others taking a chance to buy some snacks or a drink from the service station shops. I decided not to get off. I stay in my seat, I thought I was alone until I noticed someone sit themselves next to me.
