Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

Everyone returned from the Winter holidays in hopes that things had calmed down, but they were still on high alert. Every student and staff were still on edge as they still took precautions. Amos and Adele tried to keep the kids home for the remainder of the year, especially after Codelia's panic attack. The kids; however, stood their ground. As frightened and stressed out as she was, Cordelia knew returning was the right thing to do. She wanted to continue comforting the younger students as best she could. She also knew that staying home would only intensify the rumors about her being involved, and she didn't want that. And part of her knew that she would miss her friends and classes too much. After many discussions, Cedric and Cordelia convinced Amos and Adele to allow them to return.
Cedric regretted not listening to his parents on the 10th of February, a day he was sure that he would remember for the rest of his life. It started out as any other normal day. Breakfast was spent at the Gryffindor table with Fred, George, and Lee. Their morning Potions and Defense Against The Dark Arts classes were normal. It all changed; however, when Kiana and Cordelia went into the girls' lavatory in between classes.
The three Hufflepuffs were walking to their Charms class when they passed by a lavatory on their way. Cordelia stopped, saying she needed to use it.
"I'll go in with you. I could use it, too," said Kiana, walking through the door first, followed by Cordelia.
"I'll just wait for you out here, then. Don't take too long," Cedric told the girls, knowing they have a tendency to get distracted, before leaning against the wall next to the door.
Meanwhile, the girls walked into their own stalls. When they were done, both girls walked out of their stalls at the same time, giggling at the accuracy of their timing. They washed their hands in the sinks before they started to fix their hair and makeup, having much needed girl talk while doing so.
"So... Valentine's Day is coming up... Do you think Fred will ask you to be his Valentine?" asked Kiana with her lips curled into a smirk.
"Ana, there is nothing going on between me and Fred," Cordelia declared with a red tint rising her cheeks.
"Yes, there is, Cordi. You're just too blind to see it. He obviously fancies you, and you obviously fancy him. Everyone can see it except for the two of you," argued Kiana while she applied foundation to her face.
Cordelia rolled her eyes and leaned over the sink to fix her mascara, "Even if there is something, we're much too young."
"Fourteen is not too young. Just go for it," huffed Kiana while returning her foundation to her bag and taking out some lip gloss.
"I can't. I don't want to mess up our friendship," said Cordelia, now standing straight to adjust the headband on the top of her head.
"I doubt he would let anything ruin your friendship," scoffed Kiana. "But you do fancy him, yeah?"
"Yeah, I fancy him a lot," admitted Cordelia, unable to hide the soft smile on her lips and deep blush on her cheeks as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"It's about time you finally admit it," said Kiana with a grin.
The girls began giggling while leaning over the sink to check their eye shadow. They were so busy talking and giggling that they did not hear the hissing coming from the stalls behind them.
While looking into the mirror, they suddenly saw a pair of large, green eyes in between their reflections, and before they could say or do anything, their worlds went blank.

Meanwhile, in the corridor, Cedric was pacing in front of the girls' lavatory door. He was starting to lose his patience while waiting for his best friends to come out. He thought they had been in there for a while and he was growing more and more impatient by the second.
He cracked the door open and called out for them, "Cordi, Ana? Are the two of you almost done in there?"
His question was met with silence, so he considered going in, but he was too much of a gentleman and didn't want to startle anyone else who could be using the bathroom. He also didn't need rumors going around about him being in the girl's bathroom. With a sigh, He looked around the hall to find a girl who could go in and check things out for him. That was when he saw Fred and George walking to class with Lee, Alicia, and Angelina.
"Oi, Johnson, Spinnet!" He called out, gaining their attention. "Can you two do me a favor?"
"Sure, what is it?" asked Alicia after giving a look to Angelina.
"Cordelia and Kiana have been in the loo for a long time. Can you check on them and make sure everything is alright?" He asked, his voice laced in both concern and annoyance. The best case scenario was that had gotten distracted, just as he predicted. Another part of him worried that something had happened, though he reminded himself they would have said something or called for help if it did. George gave a small laugh.
"They're girls. It's natural for them to spend a long time in the loo. They're probably gossiping about Fred," he teased, earning an elbow to the side from his twin.
"Yeah, but it's not like them to keep me waiting. Especially not for this long," Cedric argued.
"Yeah, we can check," said Alicia, rolling her eyes at the twins' antics.
She and Angelina walked into the girls' lavatory, closing the door behind them. It only took a few seconds before they came running into the hallway with wide eyes and pale skin.
"Get a professor... NOW!" Alicia yelled in panic, causing the boys to jump and Lee to run off to find the nearest adult without question. The boys started towards the door, only to be stopped by Angelina.
"Cedric... Fred... You two probably shouldn't go in there," she said, trying to stop the two boys with her body.
Her serious warning told the boys that they did, indeed need to go in there and see what was wrong for themselves. Ignoring the warning, they gently pushed Angelina out of the way before running through the door.
"Merlin!" Fred yelled as he and Cedric ran to the two girls who were laying on the floor in front of the sinks, their bodies stiff as if they were made of stone. Their eyes were wide in terror, their mouths partly open.
"Cordi! Ana! No!" whispered Cedric as the two boys kneeled next to the two girls. Cedric reached and placed a hand on Kiana's cheek before turning to Cordelia and touching her finger. Their quiet and terrifying moment was broken by the sound of the door opening, slamming against its hinges. Professor McGonagall walked in with urgency, followed by the other students behind her. Lee gasped, having seen the sight for the first time.
"What is going on here?! Why are you boys in the girls' lavatory?" asked Professor McGonagall, scolding the boys before her gaze went the girls on the floor. Her eyes went wide and her mouth was open in shock, but she knew she needed to keep her composure in front of the students.
Professor McGonagall sighed before she brought out her wand and conjured two stretchers. "Boys, place them on the stretchers. I'll levitate them to the Hospital Wing. Miss Johnson and Miss Spinnet, go get Professors Sprout and Dumbledore and meet us there."
With this new attack, no one in the castle felt safe. Before, it was just Muggleborns who were threatened, and now a Pureblood had been attacked. Some people thought that the attack was for Kiana and Cordelia happened to be there. Others wondered if blood status even mattered to the attacker. One thing was for sure: Everyone wondered who would be next.
