As the term went on, Professor Umbridge began passing many rules for the students to follow. She called them Educational Decrees. The first one happened before the first DA meeting, banning all group organizations that are not approved by her. Because of this Educational Decree, all extracurricular clubs and groups (including all Quidditch teams) had to go under review and be approved by her. The Gryffindor Quidditch team barely passed their review. Of course, the DA couldn't be reviewed by her, which made their group illegal.

Many Decrees were passed, either forcing students to do something or taking something away. The dress code was strictly enforced, as well as volume levels. No music of any kind was allowed. Fred and George were proud of Educational Decree Number 30: All Weasley products will be banned immediately.

"Her Decree backfired on her!" exclaimed George a few days after their Decree was announced.

"We're actually getting more sales with that Decree," Fred smiled proudly. "A lot of people are buying our products just to go against her."

Despite all of the new rules and regulations, the DA still came together to practice and learn once a week. They covered everything from defensive and stunning spells to jinxes. Cordelia and Neville practiced on their own before each lesson and he was slowly starting to improve.

While Cordelia was grateful to learn how to defend herself, and to perfect spells she already knew, she quickly learned that her talents and passions weren't in Dueling. During one particular DA meeting, Nigel had managed to cut his arm on the practice dummy. No one understood how it happened, but Cordelia jumped to help the younger boy by waving her wand and muttering, "Vulnera Sanentur." The wound closed and Cordelia smiled proudly at herself for using the spell in real time. The incident in the Room of Requirement ignited a new passion in healing for Cordelia. She soon borrowed healing books from the library, studying the subject as much as she could.

"You better watch yourself, or you'll turn into Hermione," Fred joked one day when he found his girlfriend sitting at a table in the library again, causing Cordelia to giggle.

"I wish Hogwarts had an actual healing class. It is fascinating and very useful," she responded.

"Do you think this is what you want to do after Hogwarts... Become a healer?" asked Fred, leaning forward and wrapping his arms around her from behind.

Codelia thought about it for a moment. "No... I don't know... Maybe... I enjoy Herbology as well. I wish there was a way to combine the two."

"You could always speak to Madam Pomfrey. I'm sure she knows something," Fred suggested before he kissed the top of her head.

"Fred! You're a genius!" she exclaimed as she brought Fred's hand to her lips and kissed his knuckles.

Fred chuckled. "I know, love," he said before he pulled away and stepped to her side, offering his hand to help her up.
