Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

Time went on and the school year continued without Cordelia, Kiana and the other students who. Had been Petrified. Security measures were put in place for all students. Curfews became earlier and everyone was now required to walk in groups, accompanied by a professor.
People gave Cedric their sympathy and would apologize for accusing Cordelia. They now knew she was not behind the attacks if she was petrified herself, and there was no way she would attack her best friend. Cedric was glad that they had come around, though he was angry that it took her being attacked for them to see it.
The boys all felt the loss of the two Hufflepuff girls. Cedric felt lost without his two best friends: two girls he considered to be his sisters. Fred missed Cordelia more than he imagined, and was unable to admit it. Lee seemed extra down about it too. He kept mentioning Kiana in conversation, which Fred and George both noticed, but they couldn't bring themselves to tease the boy. George missed Cordelia's music, as well as the spunk that Kiana brought. The boys continued with their lives, though they weren't sure how. They went through the motions of classes and studying, even though their minds were always locked on the two girls as they hoped every day that Professor Sprout would be able to revive them.
Fred and Cedric visited Cordelia in the Hospital Wing almost every day. Cedric would bring fresh daisies that he found outside, replacing the dead ones in the vase on the nightstand next to her bed. They would tell her about their day and remind her how much they missed her. They would speak to Kiana, too, letting her know she was never alone. The boys were told that the Petrified students couldn't hear them. But if nothing else, it brought them comfort. Sometimes, they would just sit with the girls with nothing to say, giving them a chance to talk one-on-one with no interruptions.
One Spring day, Fred was sick of talking about themselves and of Quidditch, and was wanting to know more about small, technical, things about Cordelia. Those questions were always nagging at him, and he figured that this was the perfect time to ask with no George or Lee there to tease him for it.
"Do you think you could tell more more about Cordelia?" asked Fred, seemingly out of the blue.
"You know her pretty well. What more do you want to know?" asked Cedric, looking at the red grad with curiosity. He knew he could refuse to answer a question if he felt it was too personal.
"Erm... Maybe like her favorites: Her favorite color, who her favorite music artist is, favorite flower?" asked Fred after thinking about it for a moment.
"I can answer those," said Cedric with a smile. "Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite music artist is Elton John. Her favorite flowers are daisies, it's why I keep fresh daisies by her bedside. Her favorite muggle movie is Mary Poppins. Her favorite food is shepherd's pie and her favorite sweet is chocolate frogs. She hates flashy jewelry and she prefers to be barefoot when in the garden or by the lake that's between our houses."
