Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

The six seventh years sat in their usual compartment on the way back to Hogwarts. It was rather quiet as the teens shared stories of their winter holidays. Fred, George, and Cordelia filled Kiana and Lee in on what happened at Grimmauld Place. Fred and George updated them on their father. Cordelia showed off her ring to Kiana, causing Fred to smile proudly. Kiana and Lee had split their time between their two families.
"So, what are your plans after Hogwarts?" Cordelia asked Kiana and Lee.
"I'm going to work for the Wizarding Wireless Network," Lee explained. "They watched me commentate on the last Quidditch game and they hired me!"
"That's brilliant, mate," said George, giving his friend a high-five.
"Well done," Cordelia said with a smile.
"I got an internship as a Metal Charmer," said Kiana.
"That's brilliant!" exclaimed Cordelia.
"What is a metal charmer?" asked Fred, his head tilted in confusion and curiosity.
"Well, I'm going to be infusing metal objects using charm spells," explained Kiana. "It's how objects like portkeys and golden snitches get their magic."
"Whoa. That's bloody awesome," George responded, clearly impressed as he nodded his head.
"You know... This may be our last trip to Hogwarts, since we decided to spend the Spring holiday together in the castle," said Kiana with a sigh. No one wanted to say what everyone was thinking until she had said it. Cordelia frowned in sadness.
"I'm a little sad that our Hogwarts life is coming to an end," she said quietly. "I know school is awful right now, but It has been our home for seven years, and I owe so much to it."
"But think about the bright future... Our shop, your internship..." Fred reminded his girlfriend, kissing her temple.
"I know, but it won't be the same. We won't all be together everyday,... Not like this," Cordelia argued.
The compartment went silent for a moment as the weight of Cordelia's words struck a chord in their hearts before Kiana gasped and reached for her bag, pulling out a pocket knife.
"I know what we need to do... We should mark our initials somewhere in this compartment," she suggested, her face lighting up.
"Wicked," Fred and George chorused together with identical mischievous smiles.
"Where should we do it?" asked Lee. The group thought in silence for a moment before Cordelia perked up.
"How about under a bench?" she suggested.
The group agreed and they took turns to lay down and slide under the bench, carving their initials underneath the bench. Cordelia was the last to go, writing "CD" next to Fred's "WF". She was about to slide out before she stopped herself. She looked at all of the new carvings and thought for a moment before carving "IM CD" at the bottom of all of their initials.
