I rushed out of the auditorium in tears. My life was like a soap opera! Oh, I'm so embarrassed!

Tori and Vienna comforted me, rubbing circles on my back as I sobbed in their arms. "It really wasn't that bad, Soph," Tori reassured. "From our perspective, it was funny." Great, now I'm the laughing stock of the entire school.

"Soph, listen," Vienna said. "You're going to walk back in there and graduate with your head held high, because you are strong and independent, and you're not going to let some crazy graduation ceremony ruin your life, right?"

I chuckled. "I guess not."

Tori smirked, "But in other news....I got Carter's phone number!"

My eyes widened. "Carter? One of Finn's friends?" She nodded, the corner of her lips tugging upwards. "Congrats!"

The car ride home was beyond awkward. I could've watched a TV series where the only content was a video of paint drying, and I would've found it more exciting than this.

After getting out of the car, I rushed to my room. I couldn't bear to speak to anyone at that point, and besides, I had other priorities. Like the formal graduation dinner. What am I going to wear?

Frantically searching through the closet of designer clothes Ashley bought, over the numerous shopping trips she dragged me to, I finally settled on three different dresses. They didn't look remotely like the formal dress, but I had to go with what I had. The consequences of procrastination, am I right? It's totally karma.

I heard a firm knock on the door as I was trying the dresses on. "Come in," I called out, one arm stuck in a dress strap. Ashley walked in with her handbag still on her shoulder, car keys and designer sunglasses still in hand.

"I'm just going to pick up your formal dress, I'll be back, okay?" she called back.

My eyes widened. I didn't order a dress. "What do you mean?"

She said nonchalantly, twirling her black bob. "I have connections with a fashion house owner, don't worry. I've already picked out the dress for you, I hope you didn't mind."

"Of course I don't mind, but I can't allow you to just buy me a new dress, you bought me so many clothes over the past few months," I said humbly, shuffling through my wardrobe. "I'm sure I'll find something around here." I probably won't...

"Don't be modest, besides, this dress beats all the ones I bought for you that are in your closet, I promise." She refused, playfully swatting me on the arm.
