vienna-banana: Moreland Park beach in 15 girlie. Get your ass out of bed.

I moaned like a whale in pain. Why on earth would Vienna have the audacity to text me at such an ungodly hour in the morning? Waking up to your text tone at ten in the morning after such a dreamy nap is never a good plan.

I guess I could use a nice tan.

vienna-banana: I know you're either in bed complaining or you're watching Netflix again. If you're not here in 10 I'm dragging you. xx

I continued to roll my eyes at the phone. Whether or not it was because she knew me back to front or whether it was because I was so predictable.

I didn't bother telling Finn, because a) I didn't think he'd care, and b) because I didn't care. But I was interrupted anyway as I tried to unlock the front door to get out.

"Going somewhere?" Finn asked, with suspicion. It sounded like something a murderer would say.

"Just to the beach, none of your business, really." I said, scrunching my nose at him.

"Why?"

"Why can't I? I'm just going out to have a good time and I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now." I huffed.

He sighed and shook his head. "Whatever," he mumbled. "Mom and dad aren't coming home for another hour."

He was holding his textbook and I scoffed. "Seriously? You're studying? It's summer break, don't you ever go out and have fun?"

"I have fun," he defended, crossing his very toned arms. "I just don't have fun at the beach. Studying is more practical and is actually beneficial anyway."

I shrugged, finally unlocking the front door. "Whatever."

Before I stepped out, he said confidently, "Besides, I'm going out tonight."

I shook my head in carelessness and shut the door behind me. Because I didn't care that Finn was going out tonight. Right?!

I finally made it to the beach a while later, and managed to spot Vienna and Tori among the massive crowd of families with kids, and tourists.

"Seriously, Soph. You wouldn't believe this!" Vienna said excitedly. I glared at her, dying from the suspense. "I GOT A NEW CAR!!!"

"NO WAY!" I squealed. "We can go on road trips and not have to take the subway!"

"Hey, you're paying for gas." She deadpanned, and then smiled. "But my parents bought it for me for getting into UCLA!"
