ENZO

I never thought a drunken Alora would be so hard to handle. I am trying to keep her steady but failing miserably.

God knows when this night will end. Honestly speaking, the actual reason for my irritation is losing the chance to get a kiss from her.

She now thinks I am not worthy of her special kiss. Another reason why she is being more chaotic than earlier- because I refused her.

When I tried to catch her from falling for one more time, she gave me a different kind of look. It was a flirty look.

"Are you hitting on me?" She poked my nose.

Do I look like I am hitting on her? Still she asked me with this innocent look, how can I not reply to her question.

"If yes... do I have a chance with you?" My question made her think about her words.

She remained silent, probably thinking of a better response.

"No, you... won't get any chance." Her firm answer came, then mumbled something to herself.

I somehow convinced her and managed to take her to the room while she kept pulling my hair, slapping me for ten times, showing me temper. I made her sit on the edge of her bed. She flipped back while sitting, went to the middle of the bed and covered herself with the blanket.

There's no way she will sleep without disturbing me anymore, so I watched what she will do next. How I could miss the chance to witness her drunk actions.

Then I saw her peeking from her blanket and staring at me with narrow eyes.

In a blink, she threw the blanket away- as if it was burning and remained laying like that. Then she patted on her side telling me to lay down beside her.

When I shook my head, she passed me a death stare to scare me, I stayed silent but the next moment she pulled my hand which caused me to drop beside her. She giggled, making fun of me.

"Enzo, do this." She lifted her legs in the air and patted me to follow. I also lifted my legs beside her and she hit me with her legs but mine didn't fall. "Your legs are even bigger than mops."

Should I take it as a compliment or an unintentional insult? Perhaps both.

"See... we both are wearing socks." She said cheekily and I nodded.

When I got up and sat before her, her legs started shaking while still lifted in the air. The very next moment, she couldn't balance her legs so they dropped but luckily I caught one of her legs which landed on my chest.

When she noticed, she gasped covering her mouth and started to apologise because she thought I got hurt by her.

"I am...sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay, sweetheart."

"I will never hurt you." She whispered to me, placing a hand on my chest and rubbing the surface gently which gave me a fast rating of heart.

I stroked some hair strands behind her ear and said with a gentle smile, "I know, sweetheart. I know."

She came forward, taking the remaining space between us and now we are just an inch apart from each other.

She said, "Help me, Enzo. I want to trust you." I felt as if something had relieved my heart and I can't explain how happy I was after hearing her words.

"That day... that day... Alora Gray was murdered too. I also died that day." Her tears fell from her swelling eyes.

At the moment, if I stop myself from consoling her then I will never call myself a good human being or someone she deserves to spend her life with.
