ALORA
The party started all fine and was going much well when suddenly a figure flashed before my eyes, walking through my sight.
Even though I never observed him that much before, not in his own party- but now, I can't ignore him again.
Luciano has come. I saw Vincent Ferrante shaking hands with him affably, exchanging smiles with him. They do seem to have a good term, but, the fact that now I know that it's just fakeness of that man which we are seeing from outside.
Oh, you must be wondering how I exactly know that's him...because I already did my homework. I have been searching about those people who just made me suspicious of them and unfortunately, Luciano is there too.
There is also someone else present beside him, and their arms interlinked with each other. The woman glued to him greeted the boss with immense politeness and continued to look through the surroundings thoughtfully.
"That must be Luciano's wife, right?" I asked Galen as he was standing beside me.
"That's right. Her name is Patricia." He answered.
The husband and wife walked towards the crowds where all the people present there were parted in groups- some having business conversations while some were standing with discipline.
I also observed that the number of security guards has increased. The bodyguards of the guests are like infinity. So many of them.
At first, I thought Enzo would try to avoid Luciano as much as possible but I was wrong- he instead came forward himself to greet the other man and now having a conversation with him. Though I know it is just an act so that the other man doesn't get suspicious about anything.
My eyes averted from them to Galen's sudden bashful face while staring at his phone screen. When he noticed me looking at him, he cleared his throat, immediately pocketing his phone. Awkwardly.
I don't need to ask him why he is acting so shy.
Because obviously the answer is Mia. After some time it will be printed in General knowledge books, too.
"So, tell me something about Mia." Uh, he at first side-eyed me. But then he released a chuckle. "I need to know about my soon to be friend." I teasingly elbowed him.
Galen smiled softly and said, "Well, there are so many things to tell about her. If I start, I won't stop anytime soon."
"Aww, Galen, you are so in love with her!" Their love is so pretty.
His face softened. "I can't explain to you, Alora. When it comes to my feelings for her- there's no limit. They are increasing like the speed of light."
"So, when are you two going to get married, huh?" Galen laughed. I faked a 'being serious' look. "Don't laugh. Just drop the date."
"Mia has gone through a lot." He took a sharp breath. "She had no one in this world except her only one family member. But later, he also abandoned her." Galen's eyes filled with remorse. "She said after that, she was taken by a kind woman. The woman then took her to the girls' home. And Mia grew up there."
I can feel what she has gone through. The only loved one of her- of whom she must have been grateful for being with her eventually abandoned her.
"Hey, but she got you now." I bump my fist on his shoulder in a friendly manner.
Just then Galen's phone started ringing. One glance at his face and I already knew the reason behind his happiness.
"Talk to her." Passing a warm smile, he nodded. Then he walked outside.
