ENZO

All this time, all this time with every passing second of this party, the only thing I wanted was to get closer to Alora.

That's not the whole desire of mine, to be honest. I wanted many more things.

To stand beside her, to show people that we are partners, to ask her about how she wants to spend the whole time with her wishes. I so much wanted to take her with me to somewhere else- somewhere where only the two of us could be alone.

Unfortunately, everything that I wished to be happening turned into what I had never thought. Only because someone else ruined that.

I watched Alora showing a fake tight smile for the last time before she walked away- leaving me and a certain someone behind. With all my attention, I wanted to follow her, to go behind her and ask her what I have done to get her upset smile instead of her original one.

My heart is also commanding me to not stand any longer beside this someone and run to the one it craves for.

Meanwhile, in my mind... I thought to clear up some things before, so that nobody else can again try to come between me and the woman I love.

"You already know my answer." I made myself clear and she opened her mouth to respond.

"But Enzo, I-"

I cut her off from finishing that sentence. "No, it's my final word." And then without wasting any more seconds I walked away from her.

Frowning, I kept walking to the direction I saw her going earlier- only to get stopped by someone's call. Why is the universe not working on my plans today? Why is everything around me turning to be unfortunate and stopping me from going to her?

Galen, looking at his phone, trying his best to suppress the growing blushing smile on his face; he walked towards me with the couple who are mostly doing the work of leading the blind in love guy through the way to me.

After a moment, Carlo stood beside me, resting his hand on my shoulder, he said, "Hey. Where are you wandering around, huh? And why alone?" He turned his head to the left and right, searching for a certain someone.

When I didn't respond, his gorgeous girlfriend (in his words) opened her mouth and I internally guessed what she was going to say.

"He is right. Enzo, why are you alone?" Then she glanced here and there, looking for someone to appear soon. "Where is your partner?"

"Thanks for noticing that. I was about to look for her." I showed her a half smile.

Then unfortunately, my two other remaining friends came along and joined. "Guys, you won't believe how much I am having fun here." Rome said, grinning.

I knew that this guy will focus on his business which is the party, of course. Max seemed quiet and he also didn't talk much all this time.

"What's bothering you, Max?" Stella gained his attention.

He looked up at her, breathing out through his nose. "You look bored, which you shouldn't be. You okay?" She sounded genuinely concerned.

Max lifted up a shoulder and casually replied, "Yeah. I am fine." Then shifting his eyes to me, well, he glared at me actually. "Well, Enzo, where is Alora?"

Well, I don't mind everyone asking me the same question about the only person who matters to me, who is above all of them as they think. So I chose not to get mad.

Where is Alora? Where is she?

A simple question he asked me but the way he asked that, tells me that something has happened. And I don't know what.
