The plane took off at 7am and we were flying back home. California was been memorable. Actually, it was and always would be the best time of my life. My life was going to be boring until a 28 year old new mom tore open old wounds, I cried a little. Jamie told me it was okay to. "You had important things happen to you and something even more important will happen. Don't worry, us sisters will have your back," she said. She was vice president of social events. I trusted her and the sorority would be very kind. I would not be allowed to go alumnae, so they rolled with it.

"I think your parents will come around. I mean your brother left home. They need something."
"Yeah. However, I have to find a man who wants a woman with a kid."
"Lots of guys."
"Creepy ones."
"You're adorable. I know you find a nice, nice guy."

The plane touched down at O'Hare and we had a few hours for our plane, so we are McDonald's. It tasted good, I felt good that day. We talked and then got on a plane to go home. It was one hell of a summer. The plane ride home was a half hour and when we got home, My parents were there to greet us. They hugged me and kissed me. I wore a big tee shirt that day so they did not see my belly. I was going to hide it from them. "You look so happy," my mom said. I smiled.

"Are you girls hungry?" My mom asked.
"Starving. Everything is expensive at the airport,". I said.
"Well, there is a Big Boy in Pinedale."

Pinedale was a sleepy little town. There a few no tell motels. Maybe Johnny would fly back and we could go there. He had my phone number, I hoped. I ate my deluxe burger like I was starving. My mom noticed. "Didn't they feed you in California?" I shook my head. "We had to get our own groceries," Jamie said. "We didn't eat much." She went back her hamburger steak. We talked a bit. We were so glad that things were cheaper in Indiana. That was why we had little groceries. We finished and dropped Jamie off. We went into her house. She had a Brady Bunch house. We walked through the double door, Jamie's mom said, "Oh, Susan, you are glowing. You look so pretty." My mom smiled. My mom was happy to have me home. I had a few pictures on my camera roll, so I took pictures of my cat and dog. There were a few pictures of me and Johnny on there, a few of me and Barb. My mom's dark hair would turn gray if she knew the things I did. I was sure Barbara was preparing herself for the day. I was sure Johnny was with someone as well.

"I made a hair appointment for you on the 17th."
"Okay, I have orientation that morning."
"It is at one. Your hair looks a little rough."
"Yeah. It's too expensive out there."
"Looks like you have gained some weight."
"One of the people I worked for fixed me lunch every day."
"You said you cleaned Johnny Depp's house?"
"Yes."
"I bet is was messy."
"Not really."
"Did you meet him?"
"Yes. He is very tiny."
"He does seem to be finer boned."
"Yeah."

I put my clothes away. It was close to nine at night. I was tired and I wanted to just get to sleep. I took a nice shower, put on a nightgown, and went to sleep. I touched myself down there wishing it was Johnny. I imagined his long, thin yet strong fingers do the work.   Then I drifted off to sleep. I had two weeks off before my new job and school. It was going to be busy.  Mom scheduled me something every day.   The retreat was coming up and that was going to be interesting, According to my chart, I was ten weeks.
