Della
The parking lot was nearly vacant, except for a few vans on the other side. It would have been a nice scenery if they weren't listening to Burnett's disapproving tone on the phone.
"We don't reveal ourselves to humans, that's rule number one for the FRU and all supernaturals," Burnett said on the other line.
Della rolled her eyes and said, "They're onto us because we're not being forward."
"So be more forward. About the case."
Chase leaned back and sighed with his eyes closed. Della looked at him and felt his frustration. Then he opened.
"Burnett, even if we don't tell them about us, there's no guarantee we'll be able to apprehend La Fuerza before they strike again," he pointed. "What do you think'll happen if the local police or the STF run into those guys? They'll be completely unprepared, and they could get hurt because we didn't tell them what to expect."
"And may I remind the STF is an organization of superheroes," Della added. "I think they'll come to accept what we tell them as long as we show them good faith." When Burnett didn't answer, she decided to push more. "Look, Burnett, I know you're worried about potentially causing some uprising between humans and supernaturals like the old times, but this is uncharted territory for both sides. We've never worked with anyone outside of the paranormal world, and they're all in the dark in this area. If we don't learn to trust each other and work together, we never will, and I don't think that is a good thing. For either of us."
Burnett was silent for a few annoyingly long seconds. Then he grunted. "Fine. I'll talk to the director about the matter and have him grant you permission to reveal our secrets. Tell Sharpe about this. In the meantime, text me if anything changes. If it doesn't go well, have Sharpe erase their memories. Better safe than sorry."
Della nodded, then remembered he couldn't see her and said, "Understood."
"Thank you," Chase added.
He grunted again before hanging up. Chase pressed the cancel button. Della relaxed her shoulders as a tiny sensation of relief washed over her. The hard part of the revelation was over. Now just left the part where they come clean to the STF.
She couldn't help but imagine everyone's reactions despite her point to Burnett.
Would they be accepting? Or would they turn against us and try to annihilate us?

Blake
Blake left the café after his shift ended and pulled his car out of the parking lot. He knew that he should check in with Applegate, but right now he needed some time to himself. Just a little bit. Which was why he texted Loren and Ravone telling them he would join them at the carnival at Prescott Park.
The dashboard suddenly rang. He checked the caller ID before pressing Accept.
"Helion," the guy on the other line greeted.
"Andrew, how kind of you to get back to me," Blake said sarcastically.
"You only told me to dig up information about La Fuerza a few days ago. These things take time."
Blake sighed. He slowed his car to a stop before a red light ignited. "Did you find anything out?"
"Not much, I'm still working on it," Andrew answered. "From what I did dig up though, La Fuerza and Akimuras were smuggling coveted artifacts from several nations."
