You headed down to the large gazebo that was centred beautifully as crystal clear water surrounded it. There she was, standing all alone as if she was punished for misbehaving. You smiled slightly and walked to stand next to her, resting your arms on top of the wooden railing.
"The view here is beautiful," You commented as your eyes turned to look at her. The breeze brushing away her black locks. Her burgundy eyes hesitate before looking at you before looking away again. Her silence was enough to tell you how she's feeling. "I don't know what exactly has caused you to feel this way, but if Kirari did something wrong I apologise on her behalf. I genuinely mean it."
"Y/n does the president usually keep you in the dark?" She asked before she glanced at you again, "does she keep simple things like this to herself? And let you guess or search for answers by yourself?"
You let out a sigh, "It's not like that, though it seems so...she's just complicated. She won't admit to herself sometimes that she is a very jealous person."
"She badly wants me out of your life," She muttered as her eyes lowered.
You chuckled and let out a sigh, "She wants every single girl out of my life...so don't think that you know—"
"I think we should respect her wishes. Afterall, she is no longer just your girlfriend, now she's your wife and well...what she said to me was... you'll be a father, Y/n..." She said the last part with a little awkwardness to it.
"Is that what you want?" You looked at her, "you want our friendship to end here?"
She clenched on her kimono and nodded, "Yes, that's what I want."
For some reason, it felt like a break up. Though, there wasn't any romantic bond between them too, you deeply cared for her. She wasn't a person you wanted to let go of. But forcing this friendship would only hurt her. You were speechless. As you just stood there with no words to say.
"But before I go, I wanted to ask you for something..." she slowly reached for your hand, her soft hands sliding into yours, "may I have a one last hug?"
You nodded as you gently pulled her to a warm embrace. Your heart is pounding heavily against your chest. Although you fought so hard to avoid this, it was already written on the papers. Releasing her from this silent torment was the best for her. She slowly pulled back, her hands cupping your cheeks tenderly, as her thumb brushed over your lips creating a very intimate moment.
"If you weren't married, I'd request one kiss..." she said boldly, "just to feel them against mine, just once in my entire life, without having to steal it." She chuckled softly before pulling back and giving you a warm smile, but her eyes were at the brink of shedding tears.
You hated seeing her like this. You smiled at her as you leaned to plant a soft kiss on her forehead causing her cheeks to grow rosy pink. You pulled back and patted her head gently, "Please, take care. And if you ever need something or if you ever want to talk to me don't hesitate."
Yumeko smiled and nodded, "Will do." She released her arms from around you as she started to walk back to the manor. You stayed a bit longer at the gazebo, accepting that there wasn't any other way. Yumeko has stronger feelings for you... beyond friendship. You gaze over at her direction watching her leave and in a lil more in the distance you see the silvered hair girl who watched from afar.
