The wind blew strongly through the trees, rustling the leaves, creating sounds of aggressive waves. The chilly breeze creeped in through the open areas of the manor, as it blew her silver hair to the side. The sky was mesmerising, a beautiful blend of deep navy and pale grey with wisps of orange and pink streaked across it. The stars were in full display, slowly starting to fade as the sun began to peek over the horizon. It was quiet, too quiet for the silver haired female. The morning dew still lingering in the air. Her blue eyes reflected the sun's first rays of the day as they cast across the sky.
"You are up at this hour..?" a male voice interrupted her peaceful morning. She knew who it was before he spoke. She has memorised his gentle footsteps and his slow pace.
"I have a family meeting in the next half an hour," she replied rather exhaustedly.
Etsuji approached closer and stood next to her, "I know, I saw the letter on the table," he looked at her, "what is it about?"
She gazed back at the sky, "Looks like it's finally time to pay up my sins..."
A slight frown came across the male's face, "I do not understand..."
She didn't explain anything further she simply gazed at him, "Y/n might not be up until mid-day perhaps...I put some sleep drops on his tea last night. Enough to keep him asleep."
Etsuji scratched his head, "Why did you do that...? Doesn't he have to be there too? After all he is part of the clan now."
"Precisely why I did it," she looked at him, "I didn't want to marry him for this very reason. He will be more involved with these matters."
"He will be angry about this. Especially after you sent him away the first time," He looked at her and sighed.
"I wish to have some time alone," her blue eyes looked away from Etsuji. Obeying her wish, he got up and left, giving her the space she wanted. She walked out the manor, and headed to the wisteria tree. There leaves dancing with the wind.
There was something so heavy on her chest that made her breathing a bit difficult. In another situation, she wouldn't mind stepping into that meeting and let whatever happens, happen.
But now she no longer thinks about herself, about her own desires, her own thrill, her own amusements. The water accumulating into her eyes were like tiny crystals as they reflected a little of the sunlight now expanding more across the sky.
Within her, she carries a being that will forever connect you to her. No matter the scenery, circumstances, place, or universe, that bond would be unbreakable. At what moment was everything out of her hands and she didn't bother to grasp it back?
She placed a hand over her chest, she could feel the literal ache within her heart. Her breathing was increasing by the second. She can feel how fast her heart rate was when she was listening to her own pulse.
"Kirari..."
She paused. A familiar voice called from behind her. She composed herself before turning around to face the blonde male before her.
He looked rather nervous or shocked. She wasn't quite sure what was going through his mind. "Ah," She tilted her head, "Ichiro...you're the least person I expected to see here. Especially if you are not a member of—" she paused, taking a moment to think. Her eyes lifted to meet him, "Ah, I see." She guessed, "you helped Ririka."
His eyes widened his shock, "How did you..." he gulped, and scratched his head, not knowing what to say, "Kirari, please forgive me. I–"
Kirari chuckled, "It amuses me. You did surprise me there. You weren't the person I expected to side with Ririka."
