You were seated in your car after bidding goodbye to Rosalyne, your hands clenching the steering wheel as memories of the previous night occupied your mind. Your face turned warmer and you practically giggled as you thought about every moment and ended up covering your face out of embarrassment, "It all feels like a dream.... I can't believe I'm really dating her now!"

You calmed your heart down and gave one last glance towards her apartment then finally drove back home. You messaged your mother before driving off that you were on the way back, which eventually led you to think about the fact that you'd have to tell her about your relationship now. Perhaps in another situation, you would have hidden this but currently you knew it was best to tell her. You stopped at a red light and checked your phone again to see a reply from your mother, a thumbs up and smiling emoji. You reached home after a 20-minute drive, nervous yet excited to break the news.

"Mom, I'm home!" you announced as you entered and found your mother in the kitchen, cooking some things.

"Ah, welcome home, sweety!" your mother said with a smile and hugged you from the side. "Was everything okay yesterday? I hope she wasn't troubled with you staying over, the weather got quite terrible last night."

"Yeah, about that...." you nervously trailed off, making your mother curious.

"So, uh, we are..... um...." you fumbled on your words and looked down feeling anxious.

Your mother became concerned and walked over then cupped your face, "What happened? Was she upset?"

"N-No, she didn't mind me staying! This is about something else...."

You looked away and took a deep breath then finally firmed yourself, "I... me and her.... we are.... d-dating now...."

Your mother stood frozen and wondered if she heard you right.

"Y-Yesterday we confessed..... a-and confirmed our feelings....."

Your mother was utterly silent and retracted her hands from your face, looking at you wide-eyed. Her silence made you more nervous and uneasy on your feet.

"M-Mom, say something...."

Your mother processed your words and finally gained her senses, "Are you.... are you being serious, Y/n?"

"Of course, I wouldn't joke about something like this...."

A big smile appeared on your mother's face and she immediately lunged forward to hug you tightly, "Oh, I'm so happy for you! I'm so glad, my darling! Congratulations, you deserve every bit of this!"

A look of relief washed over you and you hugged her back, "Thanks, mom. I'm so grateful to have you support me...."

Your mother happily cupped your face and kissed your forehead, "Now, tell me more! What all happened last night?!"

You blushed embarrassingly, "M-Mom! You can't just ask that!"

"Oh, but I want to know so badly!! I did hope for something to happen when I suggested you to stay but this is beyond my expectations!"

Your mother kicked the floor out of excitement and hugged you again. You sighed and hugged her back in a gentle embrace then made your way over to sit down on the sofa and slowly told her last night's happenings. She listened keenly to how you revealed your thoughts to each other and finally took the step forward together, she couldn't be happier to hear this.

"Oh, this is so sweet! Ah, it reminds me of those school day romances, hehe~"

You smiled with a blush then your mother suddenly leaned near your ear and playfully whispered, "So, did you both do that?~"
