The End Of An Era

Spex's POV

"If we didn't... combine the power of the Perfect Hyper Crystal... then we couldn't have defeated Jin and saved everyone." Braeden weakly spoke. "That's why... I don't regret it. I'm sorry... that I let all of your efforts training me... go to waste... I'm sorry Spex... I'm sorry... but I... had to..."

Braeden passed out again as tears fell down his face.

I placed my hand on top of Braeden's as tears filled my eyes.

"Braeden... I don't regret training you one bit. You used your power correctly. Conny was right to choose you. Your Hyper Crystal isn't what made you strong. It's your heart." I told him as I pulled Braeden's head into my chest.

Suddenly, Dylan, Lenny, Declan, and Lee's bodies began glowing with lightning. The lightning flowed out of their bodies and into Braeden's. I gasped when I saw Conny's vestige appear in front of me.

"C-Conny!" I exclaimed.

"It's over Spex." Conny spoke as he smiled gently at me. "The purpose of the Perfect Hyper Crystal... has been completed. The burden I've put on this boy of wielding this power is over. Now... I can finally move on, and my soul... can rest."

"But... what about-" I started.

Conny looked sad before he spoke.

"I'm afraid... his power won't last forever. Eventually, his Hyper Crystal's elements will become inactive without me being there." Conny said as his body began to fade away. "But I'm sure... before that happens... the world will become a beautiful place... where heroes... will have time to kill..."

Tears fell down my face as Conny fully disappeared.

"Conny..." I spoke. "Thank you."

3rd Person POV

The cheers of the people all across the United States of America filled the skies, and even across the entire world.

People celebrated as the giant storm around the country began fading away, and they exited the schools they were stuck in.

The members of the Legion Of Liberators were all arrested, including the lieutenants. They were moved into the Underworld Super Prison as soon as possible. Aside from Jin, who was waiting in Hawaii to be taken back to the US mainland.

Big Homie and the Double Sets were paid handsomely by the US government for the contributions to the war but as Big Homie put it, "Hell nah! I don't need no kind of reward! I just wanted to help out my homies... I'll still take the money tho."

Echo and Minerva celebrated at the victory of the heroes. Echo especially was completely amazed by Braeden, who kept his promise not to kill her father.

Lastly, the Upper 5, and other injured heroes were rushed to the hospital immediately. They were heavily injured, and would most likely have a lot of a permanent damage... but the war is over.

The Heroes... have saved everyone. For them, it was officially mission complete.

The reconstruction had been making great progress. After the war, many heroes from around the country had been giving aid to rebuilding everything that was destroyed.
