"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."
Author's Pov:
Y/n: Just... leave, I want some time alone...
You finally whispered, a truce hanging in the air like fragile glass. Beneath the weight of sorrow, they would have to find a way forward together, one step at a time.
Moon-Bin: We need to get to the hospital now, we will deal with Y/n later.
Eunwoo: Do you think she'll be okay?
Moon-Bin: I don't know, but for now we need to be there for Iseul, Jennie can we see her?
Jennie: (nodding) Yeah, but only for a few minutes. The doctors said they're running tests, and they want to keep the environment calm.
Without another word, they rushed back to the car, Eunwoo's heart pounding in rhythm with the rev of the engine. He couldn't stop thinking about Iseul, he couldn't shake the image of her radiant smile—if only he had known trouble was lurking in the shadows.
As they arrived at the hospital, the fluorescent lights glared down, and Eunwoo felt an unsettling chill run through him. They hurried through the sterile corridors, following the signs until they found her room. The door stood ajar, and inside, the machines beeped softly, a stark reminder of Iseul's fragile state.
