You watched in horror as he raised the rod, ready to stab you. In a moment of instinct, you lunged forward, grabbing it with both hands. It was only a few inches from your chest, the cold metal pressing against your skin as he pushed down with all his might. Each second felt like an eternity as the distance between the rod and your heart closed. It was becoming increasingly difficult to hold back against his strength. The exertion was overwhelming, and you could feel the fear settling deep within you.

Jin-hyuk: Please... don't do this. I'm begging you—let her go.

Inner voice: Kill her... just kill her. If you ever want Iseul back, you have to kill her...Just give in. She doesn't deserve your mercy. You want Iseul, don't you? You know what you have to do.

Jin-hyuk: (gasping for breath) No... I can't do this...

Inner Voice: Yes, you can! This is the only way. The only way to be free of her.

Suddenly, Jin-hyuk's grip on the rod tightened, his smirk widening as he felt the power surge through him, blinding his rational thoughts.

Y/N: (pleading) Oppa, please! Just think—

Inner voice: (cutting you off) No thinking! Just action! You need... to end this!

With a sudden burst of strength, he pushed down harder, the pain of the rod pressing against your chest, tears streaming down your face.

Y/N: Oppa! Don't you remember who you are? This isn't you!

His smirk faltered—just for a moment—doubt flickering in his eyes. But the voice in his head roared back, louder than your cries.

Inner Voice: Yes, remember? You're just a moment away from being the man you're meant to be!

Jin-hyuk gritted his teeth, his muscles trembling with the effort of seeming to hold back. The internal battle raged on, fear and rage clashing within him as he hovered on the precipice of darkness. Suddenly, he released a primal scream—raw and hollow—and the rod slipped a fraction closer, a micrometer of distance that felt like a chasm.

Y/N: (whispering) Don't do this... you're stronger than this...

Jin-hyuk: (voice breaking) I can't stop it! I didn't want this, Y/n. Not this! I... I'm not the man I used to be.

The moment stretched interminably, and in that fractured space of time, it was as if you two existed in a bubble, surrounded by swirling shadows of his torment. You held on, squeezing your eyes shut, praying for the boy you once knew, while the man before you was lost in a tempest of chaos and fury. It was now or never. Summoning every ounce of resolve you had, your grip shifted, twisting, seizing control of the rod.
