The entire day at work, Taehyung found himself unable to focus. His usual sharp mind drifted away from the reports on his desk, the meetings, and even the calls he usually handled with precision. His thoughts kept circling back to you. He leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling of his office, a rare smile tugging at his lips.

It had been a week since he proposed, yet he hadn't even taken you out on a proper date. That realization gnawed at him. How could he not do something so simple for the woman he loved? You deserved more—so much more. He wanted to create memories with you, make you smile, see the light in your eyes when you were happy.

With that thought, he picked up his phone and typed out a message.

Taehyung: It's been a week since I proposed to you, and we haven't even gone on a proper date yet. So today, at 7 in the evening, I want to take you out. Is that fine with you?

For some reason, his fingers hesitated before hitting send. He had never felt this kind of nervous anticipation before, not even in the most dangerous situations. But this—asking you out—felt like the most important thing he had ever done.

While the afternoon sun cast a golden hue over the balcony as a soft breeze ruffled the pages of your novel. You sat curled up in a cozy chair, completely lost in the fictional world, when the familiar buzz of your phone snapped you back to reality.

Reaching for it, you saw Taehyung's name light up on the screen. A smile instantly spread across your lips as you unlocked your phone and opened the message.

Taehyung: It's been a week since I proposed to you, and we haven't even gone on a proper date yet. So today, at 7 in the evening, I want to take you out. Is that fine with you?

Your heart skipped a beat as you reread the message, warmth spreading through your chest. A date. A real one. Despite everything you both had been through—the pain, the separation, the uncertainty—this simple message made it feel as though, finally, things were falling into place. Without a second thought, you typed back.
