"NEVER REPLY WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY. NEVER MAKE A PROMISE WHEN YOU'RE HAPPY. NEVER MAKE A DECISION WHEN YOU'RE SAD."
Y/n's Pov:
Doctor's words echoed in my mind, a haunting refrain that rendered my thoughts paralyzed. My heart shattered into a million pieces at the realization that the little life she had carried within her would never have the chance to see the world. I couldn't wrap my head around it. If Unnie had been pregnant, she would have confided in me first—she always did.
Determined to find answers, the doctor already filed a complaint as we were attacked. After I signed the discharge papers, I changed into the comfortable clothes that Mrs.Kim had brought me. (Neighbour) (Don't be confused I changed the name from Mr.Park to Mr.Kim)
As I made my way home, my heart raced with trepidation. Memories flooded back; there was a pervasive silence that clung to the street like a shroud. It felt similar to yesterday, when life seemed to pause, and the world outside too had fallen silent.
I approached my front door, my hand trembling as it hovered over the doorknob. Taking a deep breath, I twisted the knob and stepped inside. The first thing that I saw was the sight of dried blood smeared on the floor, stark against the neutral-colored tiles.
