A FEW DAYS passed, faye sat outside feeding the chickens with lori and carl. "don't look so worried." carl spoke up to his mother. "it's my job" she replied as she threw some more food for the chickens "not it's not.. you're a housewife." he stated "yeah punk?" she threw chicken feed at the boy making the 3 giggle."you see my house around here?" she looked over at faye "don't bring me into this!" she held her hands up in defense.
"they don't have a mother." carl admired the baby chicks. "she might be somewhere else." lori assumed. "maybe she got eaten." the boy shrugged. lori looked at her son, her expression full of concern and sympathy. "everything is food for something else." he added.
faye watched as patrica walked away into a shed. "she freaks me out." the girl stated. "she's just weary of new people." lori replied.

later on, rick and shane were finally starting aim training for most of the group and a few greene family members. faye stood against the RV with carl, chatting and laughing.
"dude, nice lid man." shane spoke to carl as he walked over to the two. "what's going on?" he asked.
"i wanna learn to shoot too." carl answered turning to face the man. "can you teach me?" he asked. "this your influence?" shane chuckled at faye for a moment "i didn't influence shit." faye glared at the man, unimpressed at his attempt to be funny.
"well man, that's- that's up to your parents." shane's eyes darted back to carl "can you talk to them? they'll listen to you." carl pleaded. "we'll see, okay?" he chuckled.
"shane has anybody told you about your humongous bald patch." faye spoke up eyeing up the small bald patch on his head. "uh- no, but thanks?" shane awkwardly ran his hand over his head. "no problem!" she sarcastically smiled before walking away into the RV, leaving carl and shane alone.
"look i know, i have my concerns too. but faiths coming i think it's time carl should learn too." faye heard rick speak as she walked out the RV "there is no buts! he's just been shot and now he wants a gun? you know what type of people fayes been raised by its different." lori placed her hands on her hips.
"look there are guns on the camp, he should learn how to handle them safely." rick continued to try get his point across. "i don't want my kid walking around with a gun. it's not good parenting." lori whispered "okay, olive oil." faye mumbled.
faye watched as rick continued to try convince his wife. when lori finally agreed everyone piled into the cars and began heading down to the makeshift gun range.
the gun range consisted of a few bottles balanced on a old wooden fence. faye stood at the end of the row, in her own world. everytime shane came up to her to correct something she'd give him a sarcastic smile before continuing.

once the group arrived back at the farm. faye and the others engaged in a lighthearted conversation often complimenting carl on his aim. the girl watched as lori walked into the fields to talk to hershel. her brows furrowed at the uneasy feeling that lingered inside of her.
